If the PCC  issue date is more than 3 months old on the date of app. submission, it is advisable to get a new one issued in the interim and should be turned in at the time of PP submission.
Kunal, you have definitely been lucky!
My previous PCC, dated Feb 4th was submitted with our app. on May 11th (reached CIC - May 13th) so it was 9 days past due! I did not risk it and submitted a fresh PCC (dated: June 23rd) along with my PP on July 21st. You never know if the VO goes 'by the book' or is easy going.

Unfortunately, I did not realize FBI US PCC processing would take 8 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks (last year), hence the delay!

ok fine. My PCC is dated April 24th, but our application reached Missisauga only on Sep 1st. So its not within 3months time frame. Anyhow I have my new PCC ready. Will send it when ND asks for PP.

Hi every1 .. Jst wanted to share my wife's travel experience here

well nobody bothered her at all... At Delhi airport nobody bothered jst asked her where u r going and who suponserd u that's it all went smooth.. And here in Canada no one bothered either and asked general question .. How much money u have ?? How long u want to stay here?? Did the pr card and all nothing else that's it .. And then she jst came out..

That's it .. Ppl here at the immigration were super nice specially to girls

Do my wife need a new pcc certificate when she land here ? and what papers she should keep with her at landing time

Hey Kunal she does not need any pcc once she gets here, all she needs here is her passport with visa and a declaration form for customs to fill and she will be handed that form on board the plane . oh yeah just make sure she has a working pen trust me a pen can be your best friend on board the plane as there will be stuff to fill out . Rest they are not going to ask for any kind of proof at the immigration here  Good luck

in my case, they started processing on 20thAug2010 and i received PPR on 27thAug2010 in which they mentioned to send PCC and RPRF if not submitted earlier ... i sent my PP (old and new) and a photocopy of the PPR letter to CIC ND office on 30Aug2010.

I have read in this forum that CIC will return pics during PPR .. is that so??

If so then its been 20days since they received my PP(checked thro bluedart tracker) and i didn't get my pics returned till today..  is this something normal?? guys pls tell something whether i am going through normal process??

Chinthu - i got my pics with passport so it can be before passport or with passport and i read in the forums sometime they don't give the pics and keep with them

LOL! Just hope they don't like my pics too much to keep 'em! I havn't received mine too. Hopefully will get all, 100+, with the PP.

Hi Everybody,

I just wanna update u on my situation ,i got a verifcation call from CHC -ND .The lady called to ask and verify a few questions regarding my application such as date of marriage ,date of my spouse visit ,at the end of the conversation she also asked if i had any questions and i just asked her how long it would take to hear from them ,she said that she cannot comment on that and il have to wait to hear from them ,i was so nervous as they caught me off gaurd and put me on the spot as i was at work ,i answered her questions but i was nervous as i was surprised by this call. The number she called me from is 111 -41782000 at around 3 pm in the afternoon.
I have heard of verification calls for FSW category but i havent heard of verification calls for spousal category ,does anybody have any insight on this .im so nervous now.

Hey Poodles - although your stress is normal...I've read a case (on other forum) where n applicant received a call to verify some information. I'm sure you answered all questions correctly, I think it was minute enough to warrant just a phone call (rather than requesting documents)...I think you will be fine!!!

I just hope minku what u said turnes out to be true,its become so much more difficult after that phone call.

I just got an update on ecas saying they started processing my spouse's pr application as of Sept 16th. I pray that it is smooth sailing from here on for me and good luck for the other folks with their cases!
