Xyrus,

Thanks. My new PCC is valid only till Nov 27th, if its valid only for 3months. Hopefully they shud ask for my PP before that! Otherwise, need to take another one Sad Its irritating!

Don't think u'll need a new one now. You should receive PPR much before its expiry. You can enclose this one (Dated: Aug. 28th) with your PP. Good Luck.

kal1313, have you received any communication from ND yet? I know from the july thread that our timeline is exactly the same in that we both got the sponsorship approved on 8/24. I don't see anything on e-cas and my spouse hasn't heard anything from ND yet either. So just curious even though I know it's just been about 3 weeks for us.

Thanks.

Guys my spouse received the letter from the embassy in ND asking to post the passport. Just wanted to confirm if everyone has got a 1 page letter from the embassy. They have also asked for Police certificate and other documents if I have not submitted before (I have already submitted all documents before). PCC was taken on June 28- this one I had enclosed it in my application and 3 months is already over now. I hope it is still applicable and I dont need to send another PCC along with the passport?

Also, which is the best way to send the PP? By Bluedart/DHL? Just to confirm if the PP has to be sent to the following address:

Immigration section
7/8 Shantipath
Chanakyapuri
ND-110021

P.s. I have excluded the PO BOX as I m planning to send it by courier. Is it correct?

Look to hear from you soon

best wishes

Good Stuff V! Yup, the address, without the PO BOX # is correct. Blue Dart is safe and reliable and you can track it online. I used it too! And, you do not need a new PCC. And Yes, even I received the standard one page letter.

Hi there spsponsor no havent heard anything yet , I am estimating we should hear something by next week. I guess your e-cas tracker is still showing status not available . If xyrus is right it might update this tuesday as even with the approval the ecas updated on a tuesday for me . I know canadianpr got a ppr in 18 days which i think is the fastest that I have seen so hopefully august approvals should be moving fast , keeping fingers crossed . where abouts is your spouse from?

Hi Kunal congrats , and just from personal experience If you have never been to Vegas before  I'd suggest you stay in a hotel right on the strip. getting around in Vegas can take forever in a car . If you stay right on the strip you can pretty much walk to anywhere you want to go and dont stay at any hotel less than 4 stars trust me. I'd suggest caesars palace, bellagio, monte carlo, planet hollywood, palaazo, mandalay bay, mirage, venetian etc good luck.

Xyrus,

Thanks. My new PCC is valid only till Nov 27th, if its valid only for 3months. Hopefully they shud ask for my PP before that! Otherwise, need to take another one Sad Its irritating!

The information that you have been given is not entirely correct. The PCC must be SUBMITTED with your application within 3 months from the date of issue of the PCC. This is very different from it only being VALID for 3 months.  Once you have submitted your PCC within that 3 month timeframe, you do not need to submit another one unless specifically requested by CHC. Very few people need to resubmit a PCC, even if your case is in process for 6 months or more, but if you do need one, CHC will let you know. You do not need to submit a new PCC every 3 months.

Hi Xyrus.. Thanks for the confirmation. My wife was talking about some file labels  (bar code stickers- 8 Nos) which the embassy had sent. They have mentioned in their letter to attach one of these labels on the covering page of all the correspondence to the immigration office.

Do we need to attach this label on the covering letter? What did you guys do? Well it is mentioned as covering page. But covering letter is always optional...

Kal--> My wife got the letter on 09 of this month.

Look to hear from you guys soon

thanks and best wishes

If the PCC  issue date is more than 3 months old on the date of app. submission, it is advisable to get a new one issued in the interim and should be turned in at the time of PP submission.
Kunal, you have definitely been lucky!
My previous PCC, dated Feb 4th was submitted with our app. on May 11th (reached CIC - May 13th) so it was 9 days past due! I did not risk it and submitted a fresh PCC (dated: June 23rd) along with my PP on July 21st. You never know if the VO goes 'by the book' or is easy going.

Unfortunately, I did not realize FBI US PCC processing would take 8 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks (last year), hence the delay!

Good Luck all!

V, I did not paste the sticker on the cover letter but on all official original docs:  PPs - Old and New, PCCs and on the envelope just so they can identify me easily! Wishing you an early PR approval. Good Luck!

Hey kal1313 you are right, my ecas says status not available for the pr application. Hopefully we see something in this coming week as even the ND CHC website states that they make an initial review within 1 month of receiving the app from mississauga. My spouse is in Lucknow so it shouldn't take long to send/receive communication from ND.
