Hi everyone!

We got our passport request from ND today!!  so things are finally moving.  I can see light at the end of the tunnel and just hope that it isn't a train.

Can someone please confirm this is the address that you sent the pp too and that it allows for courier delivery:

I would like us to be able to track the PP, but I know that it can't be couriered to the PO Box address.  Just want to see what other people did.

I'm not sure how you guys attach the timeline to your messages, so i will just include mine here:

Cat:  Family (Conjugal Partner)
Submitted to Mississauga - June 24th
Approved sponsorship - August 18th
File Transfered to ND - Aug 18th
Request for PP -  Sept 14th (letter received)
eCAS updated to in progess - Sept 6

Hopefully that will help everyone!  Now let's see how long it takes.

Other than that, landing interviews are a formality and not a big deal. She has to declare cash if she carries more than CAD $10,000.

Hey Canindian - Yep , thats the address I couriered my PP to. I used Bluedart/DHL as their service is safe and reliable. You can even track your PP delivery status online. They promise next day delivery before 10:30 AM and charge Rs. 400 for it. Good Luck

Quick question: When can my wife expect the AOR letter/ Letter asking to send her PP to the embassy? It has been almost a month since the file has been transferred to New Delhi office.

Your timeline seems similar to ours.  Our file was transferred to Delhi on Aug 18 and we received the letter with the passport request yesterday.  Our starting processing date was Sept 6.  So I would imagine that you would get your letter in the next week.  Will be interesting to see how our timelines continue  

For the Police Clearance Certificate my partner had the police do the check and then had to get the certificate from the passport office.  Was a pain, but he was told that this was the acceptable way to do it.  Is that what you had too?

No we did not approach through regional passport office. We just got the PCC from the Inspector of Police from the nearest police station in Hyderabad which is my wife's native place. I hope it should be fine? I m bit worried now. Hope it wont be delayed because of that.

Ur wife have to visit passport office and fill form #2(PCC)

she have to carry original passport and five passport size Pic.

PCC fee 300-\

Embassy don't accept local police station clearance.
passport Dept. came under foreign ministry plus they do investigation by CID not local police. (that's why they want PCC by passport office)

for more information you can check passport office website and you can download form also.

it's batter if she reach office around 8AM other wise she will be get a long Que there.

I m more concerned now!!.. CIC in its website never mentioned that one has to get the PCC through RPO.. They just mentioned police clearance certificate.

This is what is mentioned in CIC

For districts other than the Punjab:
Applicants should contact the local Senior Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of Police, the Additional Commissioner of Police, or the Station House Officer (Police clearance certificate issued by the Regional Passport Office are also acceptable.

hey vigi if you are not from punjab your pcc should be good as long as its authorized by a ssp , dcp, acp, or an sho of your local police station . You do not really require to send in another pcc as far as I know .
