Around 10 days after the file transfer it started showing on ECAS that the application has been received at ND and the medical results has been received.

Congrats for the Sponsorship approval !

guys 6 visa in 15 days from 21jan to 5feb.......its good i must say delhi is working at good rate.................they shuld keep it up n then we left over willl get visa very sson in just few days...................mikoo,me,sanyrog hope 2 get visa soon...........

after AOR letter with in 10 days you will also see your in CLIENT APPLICATION STATUS under the permanent application and medical " RECEIVED" but permanent application status will be in Process. it doesn't mean they have start processing it. remember the processing status should have in CLIENT APPLICATION STATUS. i have also confusion on that. let me know if you want to know more.

i called an airline agency to get some prices for tickets, and the guy started to laught, for 1 way, $1800 CDN, i was shocked. any ideas? This was jetairways stop over in Brussles.

Hey Missingyou,
Congrats for Visa. Flights should be cheap in winter because people dont travel to Canada in winter because of cold. Try other airlines such as KLM, Air France, Swiss etc. Also, ask your spouse in Canada to look for cheap flights. Prices differ between Canada and India. My wife is in India, and i am her spouce, I called the agency here in Toronto, and that is the price i got. I was shocked, i was like its not peak season, people ususally go to India in winter not come to the cold weather. I dont know, but what ever it is, so coming soon.

I got it all wrong. I go every year through Swiss and it was never more than $1500 both ways. I'm not sure what's happening. I just got back in Dec and it was around $1500. I heard there are some travel agency such as Skyline owned by Indian people in Toronto. Try those...I really hope you find some good deals. All the best..Regards

The ticket to Canada from India ( one way ) for one person should not be more than 800-900 dollars at worse, but you can also get good deals so check with the agents in India, airlines offices don't know nothing, I tried at www.flightnetwork.com and the cost of ticket from delhi to toronto came out to be this $747.40 CAD so just chill

Yeah everyone is right, there are way cheaper flights out there. I got a flight back from India on Swiss for 600$ with the taxes and it was last minute (like one or two days before departure).

I think Swiss Airways has no service to Vancouver from New Delhi , but to Toronto they do have a flight via ZURICH.

There was a baggage allowance question - When I traveled to Toronto from India few years back with PR visa Air India used to have a special baggage allowance of an extra bag of 23KGs. So I could carry 3 bags of 23 KGs. I am not sure if the rule is still there for PR visa holders but if someone is flying with Air India you can call them up and may be post the info here.

Air India suits quite well for people flying from punjab as the flight starts at Amritsar. Their food is good, flight is invariably delayed (Like every day couple of hours), service otherwise is good, You get to watch Bollywood movies along with hollywood lol. I fly air india because it is convenient to get onboard from Amritsar than from Delhi and good food of course..

Hi Everybody,Thanks for all the best wishes.I was away to Amritsar for a wedding so I called my brother to update the same.I also wish and pray to God that all of u should get Visas asap.I have a firm believe that you will get very soon.New Delhi is still working at a decent pace after December and ofcourse background check is not Easy in India especially when you have no SIN card kind of system in India as on date where you can check all background within minutes.Also New Delhi hasto handle more volume of cases as compare to other offices.So not bad,they will issue visas to you guys very soon.Once again Thanks for ur wishes and this forum is really very helpfull,So a Big thanks to Canadavisa.com.
