They recvd the PPs on 31st dec

ECAS SHOWS AS:
Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on January 10, 2011.
Medical results have been received.
Even better, my husband got PPR letter & its dated Jan 19th, 2010.
We should have got it earlier but they didnt update his address n it went to an old adrdess in india. At least we know about it now!!!
Hope PPR means good thing!!!! Pls update me in the chart saying i got it PPR, thx=)

Good luck Missinghim ! the PPR was super fast for you and Roy.rhea. I wish you all the best. I would say speedpost will be the best way to send the Passport, will reach there next or the following day and is the safest way and is through postal services provided by Indian Government so that will help to trace ( if needed ) Thanks Panda |

I don't think ecas status updates mean much. They probably just updated everyone same day. Whoever was doing that data entry just came back from vacation  . Mine is updated too. Permanent residence status is "In Process" now. This was the message: We started processing SomeOne's application on January 14, 2011. We received PPR on Jan 10th and post date was Dec 30th. So they sent out the PPR on Dec 30th but started processing the application on Jan 14th. May be two different departments. One just processing the Apps and other doesn't care what status it is at they just get the passport. Someone asked about what does NULL mean - Data entry error in the system. I wouldn't worry too much about it. They probably forgot to input the name of the person while updating ecas. |

Well you can send the passport by any means but if it would be me I would use the Speed post service provided by the Indian Government postal services.
Blue dart is just a private courier service, I won't trust them

Waiting4u what did u use to send pp back?
my app was rec'd by ND on jan 10, n they sent us ppr letter on jan 19th..fast but if u ask me ...ecas, &early PPR means nothing. ND has been unpredictable n seems frm reading posts they do like to keep pp on file, doesnt mean they r ready to issue visa. ..it doesnt mean visa stamping will be fast..they have even been known to ask for ppr n still ask for additional docs n interview after..etc. Noone really know how they work.
Im just hoping ask ppl early for pp is a new trend..& going forward there is some kind of trend steps we can follow ...at least future applicants can follow along.

My wife submitted PR application to CPC-M on 21st Jan.2011.
We can not see anything in Tracking @ CIC website.
I dont know when will I be able to meet my wife in Canada.
Hope my case will also be processed fast track as i can see about others on this forum.

Processing Times: Family Sponsorship 43 days (working on applications received on December 22, 2010) Last update: January 26, 2011 from the above information (found on CIC website) you can see they are working on applications received on 22nd of Dec. Goodluck, and I hope things work out well for you, I'd say give them 2 more weeks and you may have some sort of news from them. There will be nothing on CIC Mississauga - ECAS in your case until at least Feb.20.
It takes 30-35 days to the decision made on approval of a sponsor application ( family class )
Expect for your File transfer to New Delhi ( if approved ) around Feb. 23 or 24 and you will receive the AOR from CIC ( if approved ) in the last week of Feb.
Keep us posted and update your signature timelines by going under the Profile section.

hi Missinghim; Quick question regarding the PPR letter you received from ND, does that PPR letter states specifically about submitting passport including the old cancelled passport ( if any ) or does it state to just submit only current passport that we currently have ?
