Hi Mikoo, actually BC check perform by 3rd party and it's depend on them when they r submitting reports as VO conduct regarding case....

they told u that they r doing BC check?

yeah i send them email and i was told that my case is under BC check so they don't have any time frame to tell me that when it will be finish but i got back my PP after 2 weeks ....

so it's a little hard to think what they r saying on email and what they r doing.......

Mikoo ND take 6 months and be glad that ND 2nd one who have very short time rather then other offices .....even USA and London office take long time then ND.............
just do wait and i hope u will be get good news soon

and yeah start Ur packing now coz i think they will take hardly 2 weeks to send back ur PP and one week for mail as they use speed post only.

yes they sent me reply of my e-mail in tht e-mail they have specified tht application is under background chk,,,and they cant tell me exact time frame,,,but if they wud have told me the exact time frame,,,, thn ,,,,me and my husband wud have planed his visit to India,,,thn this w8 will be easier for both of us,,,,

hopefully sany rog we shoulde get it by atlast feb but i get tensed when i see our table where people who hav got ppr in september r still waiting.......................we dont need to wait so long atlest................

I dont think we can call ND office ! All we can do is send an email or case spec enquiry.

am not sure if ur cousin can sponsor u under Family category. Only ur spouse or children can sponsor u.

if u call them they will tell u we dont share any information regarding visa status on phone ,,,so it s good to send e-mail and inquire abt status,,,,,atleast whn i called them and  asked abt status for my visa i got this type of answer from them,,,, but they do reply e-mail

ohohogirl, they will not talk to you on Phone. there is only u can send email or fax
but if you want fast more then email may u can send them fax.

I have faxed them twice as I received two letters saying to submit passport, but have not heard back from them, this was faxed on Tuesday and Wednesday. But no reply back. We have given them my wife cell, and an email address to email us as well, we also send them a letter via speed post which was received on Thursday. and once again no response. Lets see.

my father in law just confirmed that ND has received the passport, but the courier company is going to provide proof tomorrow, what do I need to write in the fax?

letter basically says:

this refers to your app for adminission to canada

in order for us to continue the processing of your app we require the following:

valid pp by 02/12/2001 mm/dd/yyyy

failure to submit them within that time poerson could result in the refusal of your application please quote our complete file number  on your correspondence and address your correspondance to the HC at the address indicated below,

so what the heck, my wife said she got a call from the courier company that they received it on Dec 22/2010,, and this  letter is dated Dec 30/2010...

what a way to start of my morning, it is 4:20am EST canadian time, this is really not how i wanted to start of my day, and even stupid ECAS is not updated.

help!!! think i am going to lose it now.

Please note that it takes several days for any letter or fax or document/PP to reach to the VO in CIC New Delhi.
As you said, your wife's passport was received by CIC ND on Dec 22nd. There was only 4 working days between Dec 22 and Dec 30.
It might be possible that her Passport didn't reach the VO by Dec 30th. Hence s/he asked for the passport again..

Hey missingyou,,,,,
if they dont respond then u both u and ur wife)send email to them telling all the details regarding ur  wife's Passport and attach the copy of both PPR letters,,,,and also attach the copy of  receipt of tht agency through ur wife has sent the passport,,,,and ohh yes  dont forget specify file number and the name of ur wife,,,let us know wht happends,,,,dont worry
