Hi Missinghim;
Merge means they will automatically check if your husband has another application ( which he is ) so they will merge it and process it under the one that can be processed faster than the other.My brother had the same case in 2000 but I am not sure may be after that they changed the process to handle such situations,you might need to ask a immigration consultant or the best thing to do is talk to CIC and they can guide you what is the best thing to do at this point.
For now I am just waiting for my sponsorship approval :-(
Common CIC bring down the time frame to 30 days from 45 days.

Sanyrog, yes canadian.. as u know Canadians r allowed to sponsor while living in another country but they do ask for proof of return to canada so i left india to get the apartmt in canada. I submitted my lease.

Hi Nylalisa, Congrats..How do we check the status of application without any client Id or application #? hope you get the letter very soon..Congrats once again  Hey Vish You sign into cic.gc.ca, and application status on the right, there you are checking the status of your application with your receipt number from when you paid for your application. Its a letter and a 9 digit number, and you use all the sponsor info (last name, first name, dob, and place of birth). If there's an update it will be there, if they have started processing it, it will say your info couldnt be found. The first update I saw was on 9th Jan saying a decision had been made on the 6th. Hope this helps!!!! |

No updates, haven't heard from ND, i got my wife to speed post a hard copy of the papers, and as well send another, just sitting and waiting now. really nothing else we can do, we did our best to communicate with them. if we dont hear back we might call early next week, see if they pickup phone calls.

congrats simar and nylalisa. Mikoo, dont worry, u wil get the visa soon. I totally understand ur pain, 7 months is tooooooooooo longgggggggggg. but what can we do  its too painful for every1. U sent those extra photos whatever they requested immediately? Missinghim, ND is unpredictable.. we cannot guess anything unless we get our visa in hands they might call for interview or ask for addnal docs, anytime till they issue visa so its uncertain and we cant predict anything. We just need to be optimistic. Hello every1 yes sanyrog i sent those photos in the month of nov,immdiately after i received the photo request letter,,,,after tht i got call from CHC ND,,,which i have mentioned in my previous posts,,,they said they dont want anything more from my side right now,,,,,now we are in puzzle shall i send them e-mail again or not,,,,or just wait and watch ,,,,if we see the time lines of godlover and kal are similar to mine but dont know whts going on with my process  ? @ Rocky how r things with u??have u started packing or not? @ missingghim yes we r apart from 7 months but we have applied on,,,,30thjuly2010,,,and vi wish nobody need to wait for visa like me:( |
