its been 7 mths since u applied too?
I hope u both will b reunited soon..7 mths is too long to b apart. i understand We all do. I was just approved n file sent to ND on Jan 4... i kno the real long wait for me has just begun. Panda lets hope they speed things up!!!

I also hope they speed up things, Another thing of relief is there is only one stat holiday now till April 22 and that is for Republic Day, Wednesday on January 26, 2011, After that no holiday till April 22 and we hope ND work with full staff and full force in these 3 months and speed up the process of finalization.

CIC Mississauga is still working on applications received on November 29, 2010, the status will change tomorrow. I hope they go at least up to December 10, 2010 tomorrow.

The 46 days frame time used to be 28 days at some time last year, common CIC and ND show us some results.

Even tho they dont say ND may be quicker w/ dependent child than spouse. Its easier to process,no?
But i would love my husband to get his PR visa within 2mths...wow...lets hope!!!!!!! ...thx for posting Panda ...this gives me hope=)

Tell me, anyone, if u get PPR is it always good news or could u still get interview n additional docs requested?? If u get PPR late after 3-4 mths surely ur safe, is that right? And im sorryif i posted this Q on here already but here goes... after file goes to ND when do they startlooking at it..do we get AOR frm ND saying they rec'd it? Thats where i am..hoping they send correspondence soon. The only thing my hubby got was saying they dont accept address change w/o signature. So u have to write letter mail it or fax it or u can scan it then email it. We are also planning to cancel my hubby's old skilled labour app n go w/ our current fam sponsorship app ...its not near to processing n fam sponsorship is quicker.

So I got a decision made on my sponsorship on January 6th, 2011. Why can't they just e-mail people. I thought for sure it would be here today the letter, but nope still nothing in the mail. Stuff from Ontario to NB doesn't take this long so I can't understand why it's taking this long from CPC-M to Ottawa. Ridiculous...I just want to see the cold hard prrof I was accepted and my file has been transferred to ND. Plus I need my app # so I can correct a few things in the application that I realize I made a mistake on....They would be so much more efficient if 1- they started using e-mail and 2- if on e-cas they just put what the exact decision was instead of staying decision made....

Sorry I needed to rant..lol, Now I feel better.

Congrats Nylalisa, Glad to hear that you got approved for sponsorship.Looks like CIC is speeding up things now.as on their website it just says: Working on applications received on November 29, 2010 but they are ahead of that.Don't worry you will have the approval letter soon in the mail which should state when your file was transfered to ND.
I m waiting for my approval now.

Usually they will automatically merge the skill based application and spouse visa application together so your husband should be fine either way.

Panda, what do u mean by merge the 2 app? Thank y!

His skilled worker labour PR app is one of the VERY old ones lol submitted in 2008, Not in with the recent group that have faster processing times.

i heard on another thread on this forum that they will usually ask u to withdraw one app later in the processing stage for family sponsorship.So my husband n i thought we'd do it soon

dont worry, u wil get the visa soon. I totally understand ur pain, 7 months is tooooooooooo longgggggggggg. but what can we do its too painful for every1. U sent those extra photos whatever they requested immediately?

ND is unpredictable.. we cannot guess anything unless we get our visa in hands they might call for interview or ask for addnal docs, anytime till they issue visa so its uncertain and we cant predict anything. We just need to be optimistic.

Sanyrog: Thanks for answering  ...sounds like it will b a painful wait Not knowing. I just started this painful wait...Not hearing frm them too WORSE. The least they could do is update ppl. Send correspondence n give reasons to us when they ask for things.

Like my hubby he has to give his job 3 mths notice ..it would b nice if ND communicated better told ppl u will b getting ur visa at the earlist they know so even if they take another 2 mts to issue it At least ppl could relax. Or ppl like my husband can start wrapping up stuff like job n our house there. LOL im dreaming lol This is ND vo. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ur right missinghim this is ND office, we cant predict anything. Even i have to give 1month notice period for my job, but just planning to give next week, hoping that il get my visa by then Godddddddd pls help us.

1 mth ur lucky. 3 mths for us..too much notice if u ask me lol

Well,we cant afford to give notice til we know hes getting visa (either it arrives in mail or they give us notice of it in advance (not going to happen) so it looks like i wont b reunited w/ hubby til 3 mths after pp is returned to us w/ visa stamp..how sad. But im goig to visit him for 5 mths starting mid-Fed..this is great!

 I think if ur asked for ppr too early then interview, add doc req is more than possible. But i just think if u get ppr after 2-3 mths of processing it means u r safe for the most part..waived n they r satisfied..i would think this would b the case. if not they r inhumane.

hmm thats sad Lets hope that v all get our visas soon! U must be a citizen, thats why ur planning to go and stay there for 5months.
