congrats amira for your change in status! can you please turn that angel towards me now  ? please tell me more about your travel history of 3 years. where and on what purpose/visas did you travel? how many countries and for how long in each? when do you think they start background checks, before "in process" or after "in process" status? was your marriage arranged and who is the sponsor in your case? husband or wife? thanks and good luck!  ashunandal, we'll need to find a 2nd angel for you; looks like nanipanjakadi has already called dibs on mine  Delhi has been so generous with file updates lately; I do hope you get positive news soon. In my case, I am the sponsor and my husband is the applicant (it's less usual for the guy to be the applicant, I know...). Ours is a love marriage. His relatives were my parents' friends so that's how we met. Travel history: My husband studied in Australia for 2 years, then went to the UK on a working holiday visa for 1 year. I honestly believe the appearance of the "in process" line on ecas is variable from officer to officer and does not indicate when the background check actually begins. Delhi has had my husband's passport for more than a month now, so they must have begun the background check already but who really knows. Remember that swoop81 went from in process to DM in less than 1 week, but others like nani have been in process since April... There is no rhyme or reason to it all... Patience and more patience, that's the only thing that keeps us going... |

Patience and more patience, that's the only thing that keeps us going... thanks amira and i hope you get DM soon! i just opened my husband's ecas today and found his Indian address there, as it was not there before. do you think this means they are starting to work on my case? when did your husband's Indian address show on ecas? i think it is a good sign. pelipeli and me have the exact same timeline and same movement on ecas on same day. i think the visa officers have some kind of schedule and i have heard from many people on here that it goes into process only when background checks are finished but its not the same in every case. good luck! |
