do you have any close relative in Canada ? and did any of your family members know the family of your wife before marriage ?

i already mention in the application that i have brother in canada and no body know my family member to my wife before marriage

Landing fees?
Do we have to pay landing fees as well apart from application fee of $550?
How much is that fees and when are we suppose to pay?
Does it delay the process?
Anyone who has paid it while applying for spousal visa?

Yeaa its an additional $490, called Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). I didn't know about this before, you should pay it and send it as soon as you can. It looks like it delays the process if they didn't see this payment with your sponsorship package. I only paid it after I rec'd my sponsorship approval on May 2nd, still haven't rec'd PPR. When normally people recevie PPRs within 2-3 weeks.

Yes it does delay as they wait for rprf confirmation from Canada if u send in your receipt later on

I paid my RPRF fee only after I got my passport request. Thats what my consultant said.
I attached the receipt to ND and sent it to CPC-M also.

this is the notes that ND wrote regarding the fee, which I got through GCMS:

Created Date: 2012/02/21 (The date in which my application went to in process and eligibility was passed)

RPRF has been paid on 30/01/2012, same not updated in GCMS, mail sent to CPC-M with scanned copy of RPRF Reciept to update the same.


The RPRF Fee reciept was updated on 2012/03/10 in my GCMS notes by CPC-M.

So I dont think ND is wiating for them to update. They just give the instructions to update and proceed with the case.

But it is advisable to pay it upfront anyways.
Whether it might cause delay or not - we are not sure.

They are so much unpredictable. In my gcms notes it said that they are waiting for rprp confirmation

ask me lot of question,,officer was so ridiculous,ask me many questiion,,i took with me bundles of emails,,phone bills,,skype chat,,text message,,call data record,,some picture from canada side,,and many more,,
first she said,,i know u people just do this for migrating,,,other ask me about questnaire.when first time met etc.why u choose her.how it happen..?like this.she just saying that only answer me what i am asking,,actually i want to give interview in english.but she said,,we talk in punjabi.i said ,,ok,,
was so tough interview.about 2 hour,she asked me question,,.

at last she keep my passport and told me,,i will think about it,she return my wedding pictures and wedding cards.after she checked my medical & pcc.then told ,,u can go,,i will think about ur case.


any expert guys tell,, Is it positive sign or negative sign that they my keep passport.I  mean,,she did not return passport.

there were 12 to 13 people was interview,,just of two and three people's passport they keep and other all were rejected and return there passport on the spot.I asked personally to them.
i ask some people around embassy,they said,,it is good sign they keep ur passport and return ur wedding pictures and wedding cards.

so this was my interview,

so any expert guy tell me ,,can i get visa soon?

Paying all fees with initial application makes the process more faster and avoids additional delays in the process. It takes around 4 to 6 weeks or more to confirm RPRF payment by CPC-M to CHC ND.

they rejected 10 applications  did you ask them reasons for their rejection?? but you dont need to worry, they kept your passport its a good sign. hope you receive your passport with visa soon

I positive that u will get your visa soon..Are you sure that people who got rejected were spousal visa cases? they might had come for visitor visa interview..

how long cic will take to send file to ND any idea...? m so tenseddd i really need to send that updated form n explanation to them other wise its gona b big prb bcz laterr on thy will say u information from us... what will b the best way to send those additional docs.. courier .. email faxx...

my brothers wife is 25 and my brother just turned 22. he is canadian born. he knew his wife for 3 weeks before they got married. it was arranged. do you think she will get an interview?

my husbnd and i met 1.5 years ago at my cousins wedding. our families were at first against the marriage but eventually agreed to it. we have our fb records, emails, tickets, letters, calenders and gifts.

they rejected 10 applications  did you ask them reasons for their rejection?? but you dont need to worry, they kept your passport its a good sign. hope you receive your passport with visa soon

reason was..they were not satisfy on relation,,may be some dated mismated,i asked one guy also who was canadian citizen and came with his wife and he said,,our marriage is 101% true.but dont know why they reject it.one lady also was there,ask her about case,,she said,they return my passport ,,i asked again,,are u submitted this passport earlier,,she said,yes,,i submitted before  two months.

dont know she told true or lie.

I positive that u will get your visa soon..Are you sure that people who got rejected were spousal visa cases? they might had come for visitor visa interview..

all they were come for spousal visas,,not visitor.with who i talked,and asked.reason i dont know.u know all visa officers are cery expert.they just look the proof.talk and stories ,they cant believe.

just be positive. It seems that VO wants to go through your case again as she thinks thats its true and genuine but is not able to make up her mind. Just be positive. Hope your DM with + reply comes soon. I still fee that you will get your visa and it wont be rejected.
