hi dinmad, I dont think I understood the timing you posted. so let me make myself more clear.
1. How did you contact your MP ?
2. Is it via email ?
3. If it is via email, how long did the MP took to reply to your email ?
I have sent an email to my MP too, on Apr-20 (10 days ago), but I have not got any reply yet (not from ND...but from the MP itself!)
Thats why I was wondering how long it is taking for others.

Hi, sorry. It takes a week. I contacted him using his email address, send all possible info like UCI , file number. My MP replied the very next day and told me that he will have more info in a week. Did you get a receipt atleast from your MP ? If not i will recommend you go down to the office directly and deal with it asap. |

Hi Vengat83, In my case I contacted MP via email, I sent it twice with 2 days interval, then he responded me back the next day saying he already checked with cic and will contact me with their response, after two days they sent me cic's response. saying "All is well" |

after passport is submitted approximately how long does it take for file to be in process? from this forum i'm thinking its 3 weeks. in process might last for 1 - 6 months.

this is my experience/understanding. unless they ask more proof for the relationship it is 1 month. my passport reached them on feb 21 and my app became in process on march 21. |

Hello everyone, I would like to share a good news with you all that my wife finally landed last week and she is slowly settling. There was even long line up at immigration in pearson airport. But things went well and the wait is over. Good luck to every and dont give up |

Vengat, I would strongly suggest you to call them and follow up. MPs usually have two emails, one for parliament and one for their office. When I called my MP's office, they told me to send an email to his office address which was different then the one listed on parlimanent website. Depending on the size of his/her office, there usually is a dedicated person to handle immigration inquiry. You can walk in and ask for the same too. Good luck |

i got a snail mail too today and it is dated april 14, asking to send the schedule 1 / background declaration form (imm0008 schedule 1)
but the attached blank form is imm5669 !!!!
totally confusing...why is chc sending requests one at a time - foreign travel after 2 months of sending passport, and after another 2 months this imm0008 letter). this is totally frustrating
why cant they send all the required letters in one go and avoid delay?
our mp is not much help either. he told us to get fbi police clearances even though foreign stay is <6 months; and chc was not requesting that from us. seems like they are all buying time and delaying the application for no reason

U can see in gcms notes if they have commented that interview is waived hence it is always good to get the gcms notes after 4-5 months if tere is no movement
