My wife and I got married recently, and the application will be going through New Delhi. She currently lives in U.A.E for her work for 2 years. So, I guess a police clearance is required from U.A.E as well.
So right now two police clearance need to be provided. I am just wondering if it will take a bit longer since they will have to do background check for two countries (India, and U.A.E).
When they do background check for U.A.E, will it come through VO in U.A.E, or do they just contact the police department for background check.

I will be travelling to India next month, and I will get to see her. I guess the change back to 'in process' makes it really tough. We have no clue if it is an error now, or if it was an error before. Just don't know what to expect. The waiting game continues. balibali had the same status and now you do. he has his passport, and I saw your wife's post about the email reply. so that 2 out of 2. I hope I get it too. how quickly does ND reply to email queries? how quick was yours?

i would add 45 +/- 15 days to ur time taken ........ but that being said, it really depends what stage u r at .... if PPR has been sent then u might hear something soon. If u just filed for sponsorship, you will probably miss the march 31 deadline. and delhi will slow down ..... |

Hello there and welcome  Your timelines should be similar to mine, I think. A number of people who filed in early Jan have just received their sponsorship approvals so hopefully it'll be our turn in another 14 days or so. I've been reasonably calm about the process up to this point but now am getting anxious to get through stage 1. All the best and do let us know when you have updates. Thanks. Like yourself, I've been trying to remain clam through all this. It certainly is not easy. Processing timeline was showing that it's processing applications received on the week of Jan 3rd for the last couple of weeks. Seems like they received quite a few after X-mas/New Year lull. Keeping my fingers crossed that stage 1 is over within a couple of weeks. Hopefully my wife doesn't get called for an interview as there is no embassy in Kathmandu. All the best to you as well. I'll post the updates as they become available. |

Extra 45 +/- 15 days for another country's background check? ouch. What is this march 31 deadline? I will be filing next week, so I will miss it. Is that why I am seeing less days from PPR to Visa on that spreadsheet for the past few months? after March 31 how much more days will it usually add up? |
