Hello! My ecas finally opens...!!!! ( Tried the same details as everyday.. today was a surprise..  means ND is working!) I see only my name and PR application status "In process".. when I click on In Process, similar info as in my husband's ecas.. My doubt: no other info, address etc.. is this good news? ya good news, if all goes well DM in 2-3 weeks |

Hi NEED GUIDANCE PLEASE...
Landed as PR on 27th oct 2011 and returned after 10 days back to india and got on the job.... married on 27th feb 12.. in court.. ritually going to marry after 45 days... i am having my pr card with me..
1. Can i start process of my spouse?
2. Is it fine if i am in india during the process and show the intention that would be travelling togather to canada once she gets visa?
3. IS interview compulsory in each and every case?
Hi there, 1. Yes, you can start sponsoring your spouse as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. However, if you're going to do a religious ceremony, you may as well wait until after that's done to file the sponsorship papers, so you can include that evidence as well - it will strengthen your application. 2. Because you are still a PR, you must be residing in Canada during the sponsorship process. Unfortunately you can't wait out the process with your wife in India. However, you are allowed to make short trips out of Canada. 3. Interviews are not compulsory - they're up to the officer's discretion. Mainly done to substantiate the genuineness of the relationship and clarify any details that the application raised questions about. Hope this helps. |
