How can you tell when ND has received your application?

  @  Shamsia, are you in Canada yet??

may be you can call call center in Canada and can answer that

as after ADR when we called call center they told that it was transferred on so date

hey deven,
just curious about THE mail from CIC. Do you know if the applicant must be there to take the mail (consisting of the passport) from CIC ND or do they give it to anyone else at home? Both my wife's parents and my parents live in Hyderabad and my wife spends time at both the houses. We used her home address in her PR application and there are times when she's out shopping or visiting my parents. Seeing what happened with your case, ecas didn't change even after you got your passport, I just want to make sure that the post office doesn't send THE mail back. That would be heart breaking.

yes about the mail i.e. they do send important mails through regular registered Indian post

they will deliver it to address to which you have provided so for you question I would say that if you know your postman then let him know in advance that I am expecting important mail and if it is so please dont let it go back ......... if postman knows you or your family he may handled it to your family or may keep it with him until you are rechable.........

at our place we do get regular mails from postman and we already had inform him .........

Its been a month now and haven't heard anything from them . is this normal with ND . There is no specific timeline to get the passport back. It depends on case to case basis. Generally from what I have observed from the recent couple of ppl who have received PP with shining Visa, it generally takes 2 to 2.5 months from the time of PPR. Again this may vary depending on the complexity of each case.

Even I got PPR on Jan 11th, Sent on 12th jan And Recvd at CHC-ND on 13th Jan. And still waiting for Passport with Visa 

Dont Worry have patience. One needs to have a lot of patience in dealing with CHC ND.

Ap per my observations(Again may vary from case to case), From the date of PPR, generally CHC-ND will open our file back after 45 days from PPR. If the case is straight forward they will send the PP with Visa within the next 15 days. So the average time from PPR to get the PP back with visa, it generally takes around 2 months. I Hope this comes true for all of us who are waiting. And Specially Hope that all the senior members receive their PP with Visa at the earliest.

my husband feels Little bit jealous ! because my postman is not exactly do VIP service but i am not VIP!  but his service is good.i didn't pay more than 50 Rs when my post delivered. But he didn't ask to me any tip. he is good postman. i m always giving 50 Rs complimentary tip
my postman calls if any imp post comes...and asks the time to come.!!!
