Well i am not sure if WES would help. Here is the procedure in Alberta Contact APEGGA - (The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta) Website - http://www.apegga.com/They will asses the credentials. They have a list of colleges and university that they accept. If your credentials are upto their standard, then you have to write one or two exams - 1- Basics 2 Fundamentals in Engineering - They might give you an exemption on basic exam if you have really good credentials. If you fall short in credentials then you have to do courses and then write these two exams. Once you have cleared these exams you will get Engineer Under Training designation. After 4 years of E U T then you will be an independent engineer.P.Eng Most of the international engineers i know, go for a different route. They will do their masters here and then get their license. @ Vengat - If you are a Engineer, you have to write a exam and then get your license. It is the same process for any regulated profession -phycians, accountant etc Thanks for the info. I will be moving to Toronto. And WES is associated with Ontario province. Is there any other organization for Ontario? Yes you are right, having a canadian degree will be helpful in getting a job. Are you sure that software engineers fall under regulated profession?

for software you don;t need to be part of acredited organization such as APEGGA to work but it is wise to be part of them as it will help you in your serach provided you are moving in alberta, each provice has its own governing body for engineers. just google it. plus this site can direct you to different resources/sites http://www.cic.gc.ca/newthanks for the info.

I am a software engineer in Toronto, I didnt write any exams not get accredited by any licensing authorities But if you want to practice as an engineer then you should get certified. I don't think software engineering is a field that requires private practicing like other fields.

I am in the Detail Engineering Field To practice as an Engineer (not software ENgineer) you need P.Engg Designation once you get this designation you can "stamp" drawings as approved for Construction or etc.
I have 2 million dollar professional indemnity insurance for my company I cannot take up Engineering as a scope of work, I cannot "market" since I need to "Permit to Practice" for my company (which I can apply if I have a P.Engg Employee or Board member)
Again Permit to Practice is issued for a province.
For P.Engg for immigrants Education + Experience + one-two years of Canadian Experience is required to apply
For other Non Engineers (Technicians) can apply for P.Tech or C.Tech or C.E.T

MD was correct there are 4 downs in NFL and 3 downs in CFL to move the ball 10 yards and you repeat that until you either make it to the end zone for touchdown or field goal. if team can't gain 10 yards than on your last down you kick the ball to other team's possesion. CFL uses bigger ball than NFL. CFL is a minor league compare to NFL but then again our entire population is size of california @ mapledreams
Ha ha ha. 4 downs before a touchdown. Thats funny. There are 2 in CFL and 3 in NFL. CFL looks more like an amateur league when compared to nfl.

Nothing for us yet Still stuck on "Application received" If I wanted to contact my MP, should I call him or email? Email your MP. They will acknowledge you once they receive your email and will contact you by email or phone after they get a response from ND..

Thanks for the info kuku. Is it sufficient that I provide the MP my name (the sponsor), or do I need to give them my UCI number etc. Is it safe to give out UCI number? Thanks

You need to provide all information related to your file. File number is the most important. You can provide your client ID and your spouse's client id. It is absolutely safe as their Email addresses are not personal ones but the one provided by government of Canada.( ending with gc.ca I guess)

Hey Abhi, My opinion is the format of the letter that you have is more than enough. You are providing this info to CIC for address proof. In my opinion, they don't need to know if your owner permits sharing accommodation or not. Ajay
