Hi there,
1. Yes you need to submit a PCC which is not older than 3 months at the time of submitting you application from all the countries you have lived in for 6 months or more. In some instances where you are unable to get a PCC, you can submit a letter explaining that you were not able to get it at the moment, but it will be forwarded as soon as it arrives. Also, show them what steps have been taken to obtain the said PCC.
2. Your agent is wrong. You must get your medicals done and include the receipt before you submit the application. Mississauga will send your application back if you do not send your medicals and that will delay your case.

Doesn't matter who the MP is...he/she can be brown, black, white, yellow, as long as he/she do her job to serve the way they suppose to server.  Anybody from June, July here? Hello all,
I'm hoping to get my application mailed next week and just wanted to verify - if I send the package by courier, do I still send it to:
Sponsorship - (Family sponsorship)
Case Processing Centre ─ Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, Ontario
L5A 4N6
Or there is a different address for courier vs. regular postal deliveries?
Also, I was planning to do an internet payment of fees - did anyone find that process goes smoothly? No hiccups with the system?

Our application was sent on January 14 2012 to the same address mentioned above. I Payed the fees through internet payment option. The process went very smoothly. Thanks |

You can check the processing time on cic website. As per Jan 18th update for sponsorship processing its taking 68 days (working on applications received on November 9, 2011) As for the acknowledgment if they received your application package they won't send you anything, you can use your courier tracking number to verify when it made it to Mississauga office Alternatively, if you paid the fees online you can use your receipt number to check application status online in couple Weeks..
