hello can someone plz advice which is the best courier service to send passport to CHC New delhi and will they return the passport through regular post or can i send prepaid speed post envelope while sending my passport is that allowed . Kindly advice.

Hi its better to send using professional courier services like DHL or BlueDart. This is also suggested by senior members in the group.

I received PPR yesterday and today I sent my docs along with Passport to CHC ND through DHL.

You do not need to send a prepaid postage envelope. Your passport will be sent back via registered mail, so relax!

After PPR, there is no time limit as to when it will be sent back to you. It is clearly mentioned in the letter you got with the PPR that PPR isn't an assurance of issuance of visa right away. They might have your passport and call for an interview or additional documents.

Right now, there are people who have submitted their passports from back in october and still haven't gotten it back, so that should give you an idea as to how long it could take to get back yours.

I am new here and have been following this thread for quite a while. Here is my timeline (sort of). Application applied June 7 2011, got approved July 26, 2011, PP received by CHC-ND Sep 2, 2011, and Med received updated on Dec 3, 2011. I received 2 phone calls from the embassy asking for my address and some general questions like who i live with at the moment and stuff. The last call that was on Jan 10, 2012, they asked my address again and also asked if they wanted to reach me, they could reach me through the same ph number. I said yes. And that's all. He didn't even let me ask any questions and said "thank you" and hang up. I was like what the..

So anyways, any suggestions from you all what I should expect next? I don't have to say how I hate this whole process. Don't we all hate it? thank you!!

That is good. at least you know that they are interestingly working on your application.  Have you by any chance resided at multiple addresses since you were 18 within India or abroad ?? ( which could make them think what your recent address is)

you are also approaching your 6 months time period ( after your approval) which seems to be quite a long time. You can call them on the number they have provided you or make  a CSE and Email them about the status of your application.

Btwn you could have asked them on the phone about what is going on with your application. It was a platinum chance. But as you said, they did not give you a chance to ask any question. So get ready to attack them , the next time they give you a call.
