Thanks buddy! I pray to God that he unites all the loved ones soon for a good life together in Canada!
All the very best to those waiting for updates. May you all have positive outcomes in the very very near future.
Congrats Sponsor!! Does you eCAS say anything about medicals ? I was wondering, if they list "Medical received" or not when they do the "Decision Made"

Well folks, as i have said earlier that it is really random (the timelines) and that each case is totally different. But as far as I know, extensive travel for short periods of time doesn't really impact the timeline unless you have stayed somewhere for 6 months and above. My spouse hadn't travelled outside india except for our honeymoon trip.... so it would have been fairly straight forward in that respect. fyi guptash: I did not request for any updates nor did i talk to my MP. I just waited Good for you! My idea is to try and stay put as well. But then again, you were pretty much in the time frame. I totally understand why others have contacted the MPs. Also, you are absolutely right about the fact that each of these cases is so specific. I was discussing with my husband, and he says theres nothing anyone can say. Everything is extremely case specific. Anyway, good luck bro!

@ Vxk: Its all a matter of time and luck. Its pretty darn random. People who have had their PPs sent earlier than others are still waiting for their Visas while the latter ones have recieved their PPs back with Visa on it. But still, on an average u can say 4-8 weeks, however, there are people who have recieved their PPs back in 2 weeks and others who havent recieved it back in 3 months now.

What complications and I always heard people would rather skip interviews! So good thing, you arent lined up for that interview bit. Mine is a big story. Please read the post I posted a few days ago. I would rather have an interview for my spouse than get delayed indifinitely to reinvestigate my previous marriage.

Thanks for your reply Guptash. It means the final decision is made or still we need to wait for any final decision.
It usually means your file is still being reviewed. Only when you see Decision Made as your E-Cas status, thats when they have made a decision on your file. Even better is when you directly recieve the Passport back with VIsa stamped on it. So either of this can happen first, and until any of these happen, we just got to wait. So for now, I think our files are still being reviewed and are awaiting any final decision.

@ guptash - on ecas, under the 'sponsorship application status', it shows 'decision made'. when i click on decision made, it states "We received your application to sponsor on August 6, 2010. We sent you a letter on September 21, 2010 about the decision on your application." Under the 'permanent residence application status', it shows 'not available'.
my question is, does my husband (the sponsored applicant), get a separate client id number to check the status of his application once it has reached New Delhi? and how are you informed of the passport request? is a letter sent to the sponsored applicant in india?

Thanks man. Keep us posted as to when you get your shiny visa on that pp which has been sitting with them for a while now. ALso, in the mean time, did you follow up or anything with the VO? Also, this might be a lil intrusive but has your spouse who you had sponsored had extensive international travels? Well, i mean to ask, that does a person with extensive international travel has more time to wait until they recieve their pp?
Also, Deepak, Sim, Sanyrog, do you guys think extensive international travel is something thats causing the delay in your respective cases? Thanks!
I dont have any international travels... donno whts wrong with my case... It totally depends on the person's mood who is handling your file. Hope that person should not come to office after having fight with his/her spouse to handle your file Just kidding...

Hey Sonia, Yes your husband will get a letter from ND which will have Immigration File No. at India residence. Using that file no your husband can check the ecas status. It will be of Passport Request. They can ask some other documents also like medical if not done, PR fees if not submitted and PCC if nt submitted at time of applying. The letter will be having few barcode stickers which you will have to stick to passport and any other supporting document u r sending back.
