WHEN DID NEW DELHI EXACTLY CHANGE THE ECAS? WHT DAY OR TIME ANY IDEA? ? Hello Yug ! Staff in CPC-M are very specific about the E-cas change, the status are updated mostly on Tuesdays and you can see updation on every Wednesday without fail, but once file is transferred over to CHC ND, E-cas update gets highly unpredictable.I have witnessed status change on every single day of a week with different applicants. So be always ready for a surprise from CHC ND. Ecas can be updated on Sunday too :-) This shows us how professional CHC serving and dealing with our applications. In past 6 months I have noticed that for some applicants the Ecas has never been updated even after they have received PPR/Visas....etc

Hello Everyone I just discovered your forum and am glad that I did! I am a Canadian Citizen & have married an Indian Girl. My wife is currently in India and following are her case details: Application filed: 4th April 2011 AOR Received: 10th May 2011 File Transferred to Delhi: 19th May 2011 PPR: 31st May 2011 (received 16th June 2011) PP sent on 20th June 2011 I am eagerly waiting for her PR Visa. Could anyone tell me what to expect next and when is she likely to get her PR Visa? I keep checking her status about 3 to 4 times a day and all I get is an "IN PROCESS" report which states: We received your application for permanent residence on May 19, 2011. We started processing your application on June 29, 2011. Medical results have been received

We started processing your application on June 29, 2011. Medical results have been receivedHello Neelkanth ! Welcome to this forum. If it helps you in some way, let me tell you that there are still applicants from March waiting for Visa & some individuals from May month already got their passports back. Every application has it's own complexity so takes different time to process. I hope this frustrating period ends soon for everyone just pray to God. Once your wife medicals received than next stage is BC and here no one can tell for sure about how long BC takes to complete. Background checks are done to determine whether you or your family members are a security risk to Canada. They check into your background - the schools you've attended, organizations you've been part of, jobs you've had and security clearances you've been granted, etc. Post 9/11, background checks are MANDATORY for every person entering Canada.According to my knowledge once medicals received your spouse case can be finalized within 45days and not later than that buddy. Do you got confirmation of PR landing fee from CIC ? If not try to approach now onwards sometimes due to non confirmation to CHC the case can be some more time delayed. Just get ready to welcome your wife in the month of Sep :-) Wish you all the best.

Thanks for your prompt reply fprince Should we expect an interview after the passport has been submitted or a direct decision made update because it has been over a month since her passport has been received bby New Delhi? AS PER CANADA GOVERNMENT RULES REGARDING PR APPLICATION STAGES If all of the sponsorship requirements are met, we will * process your spouse's or common‑law partner's application * send your spouse or common‑law partner a letter stating whether he or she has been approved or whether more information is required * conduct medical, security and background checks * contact your spouse or common‑law partner for a permanent residence interview, at which time the final decision on permanent resident status will be made. So buddy there to 50 to 50% chances of interview or it can be waived off too. Any ways if CHC has to conduct interview you will be intimated around 15-30 days advance, so keep on checking. Wish u all the best in this waiting game.

Thanks for your response. In my case neither its a second marriage nor an intercaste marriage. It was a simple arranged marriage.

The chance for interviews is not 50%. The actual policy for immigration is to waive an interview unless there are circumstances that an officer feels can only be cleared up during the interview and will facilitate their decision. The interview rate is actually quite low, I believe per their data released earlier this year they only interview about 15% of all cases if my memory serves me correctly.
Unless you have issues within your case that trigger some doubt then chances are you won't be interviewed. However, this doesn't guarantee speedy processing either.

Thanks for your prompt reply fprince Should we expect an interview after the passport has been submitted or a direct decision made update because it has been over a month since her passport has been received bby New Delhi? As Nylalisa mentioned, chances are very less if your case is straighforward but you never know. And there is no time-frame if your case is so simple, my case was the simplest of them all...it took them close to 6 months to decide.. Some people here think sending the PP is a guaranteed Visa soon but this embassy calls for interview after PPR...so no one can predict the way they do things. Just be positive and things will happen soon.
