no like i m not under any social assti. well i m a student so like u they ask this question how would i provide food and shelter and everything to him so thats what i m worried....i can ask my dad to give me his income tax receipt and a letter that stays that me and my husband can like with him as soon as we want to.....but like in the form there is no option like that....there is a co-singer but my dad cant be a co-singer so like what can i do....cuz help me out....

Shruti dont worry too much..I really dont think you need to show any income like i said, now i'm not sure if there is a question in the form "How would you provide for your spouse", you can say "my husband and I will live with my parents" which is very normal for indian families. Trust me this is not even an issue...you dont need to have any income to sponser ur spouse only when sponsering parents they will ask you "How will you provide for your parents" and that is why you need to show them certain income but not for your spouse. So i say just relax and if you're worried so much you can ask any immigration lawyer in your area and he will tell you the same thing. |

Hi bc_karan/Girmi, Its been 3 months since they have received my passport.I had visited CHC ND a couple of weeks ago and they said you will receive your passport in 7-10 days but that did not happen.Maybe in my case its taking longer because I had multiple visits to Netherlands. Girmi - I know how you feel, I applied for my wife on Feb 28,2011 and it has been 10 weeks since ND received my wife's PP and eCAS shows "In Process" and god know how long its gonna take. I am pretty sure there are some Jan and Feb applicants also still waiting and we even know some March applicants who already received Visa....so i guess anyone of us can get Visa anytime now...I'm trying to not even think about it anymore its too painful.

Hi All,
A small update.I went to CHC ND today and enquired about my case.The person first asked me whether I had sent an email/fax and if I have received any reply.I told him that I had raised a CSE but did nt receive any reply.
Then he looked into my case and said that they have received everything that they wanted (PP,PCC,fees etc) and they do nt need any additional docs.He said that my case is clear/ok and it is just pending for final review.He added that it usually takes 4-6 months but in your case we do nt want to push it into 6th month as the case is clear and you can expect your PP with visa in 7-10 days.
I think all they wanted was a wake up call.
I just hope that it comes within 10 days.
i'm also thinking of visiting the Canadian consulate in Delhi on Thursday. Can u tell me how to go about it once i reach there?? Did they let u in? If not, how did u manage to spk to the officer? Would appreciate a reply so i can prepare accordingly. Also should i carry anything with me?? Thanks! |

There can't be a co-signer if you wish to sponsor your wife/hubby. How old are you? and how old is your hubby? when did you get married and how long have you known each other. You are fine, but i am thinking most probly you will be called in for a interview. |

Sam, how do you know it's 10 am? I thought it was random - I remember DNT posting that his eCAS status changed to "In Process" in the middle of the night.
