i dont think that immigration section deals with student visas because student visa is non-immigrant visa but if they deals then its a problem!!
The Visa officers are same...they don have special VO for immigration.

If you hv read the prev posts u would know that there are certain things no one is aware of... When they start opening a file...when they start working on it....come on...they are not going to give u an exact date as to when they'll do it! All that matters to them is that a case needs to be finalized within 6 mnths(ND processing time) All u can do is...go through the table DNT updates and get an idea as to what the avg time is, again it all depends on ur case too!

i know that however, wanted to know that once the file is already in process and i have already sent my 2nd passport, will they still take around 20 days again to start processing my file or less? ideally, they should do it early. i just need someone's input who has been through it i.e. after documents request coolguy...no one knows the answer for ur queries!!! What brin gave you as an answer is the answer. There is no one who can tell you this answer as she said. If someone does its a guess at best. After document request all I can tell you is about a month later in my case specifically I was call for an interview.

what docs did CHC asked from you? i suppose, i may not get an interview because the only thing they asked for is my old passport which i did not send when they asked for my new latest passport because i wasnt able to locate the old expired passport. They started processing my file on june 8 and sent letter the same day. if they would have thought for the interview or any additional docs then they would have called me for an interview... hello guys!! my new passport reached ND on 21st may 2011 and they started processing on 8th june and sent me a letter on 8th june asking for old passport which i sent today i.e. on 19th June. My status shows IN PROCESS
Now starting 19th June, how much time they will take to process the visa. Will it again take 19 days for them to start processing or less or they will start processing it immediately when the passport is reached because I am concerned that if the file is alsready under process it should not take much time?
Sam - I dont think anyone can say how long it will take once they receive your old passsports, you can only hope for the best, my guess is it could take from 2 weeks to another 2 months. My status is also "In Process" and they started processing my file on june 3, 5 days b4 yours and my wife sent all her passports the first time so no delay from that end and still it says In Process and not sure when it will go to Deccision Made, so its anybodys guess but stay positive and it will happen soon.

I had divorce docs requested but I wasnt interviewed for that reason as I mentioned before. You can be called anytime for interview. Im not saying you will be but dont get over confident about it either. Process is not finishes until you get decision made an visa in hand. Anyone from Punjab region with a quick marriage is morr likely to get interviewed than anyone else in India because of all the fraud cases they are getting out of that region.

Hi all,
My husband (sponsor) can't remember some of his previous addresses (Q8, Form IMM5540 E) & the dates of residence. Can we provide his official address instead? Or approximate times for his residential address? Should we provide a stat-dec stating its approximate/to the best of memory?
Thanks for your help!

Congratulations!! You need to inform the Visa office immediately. Other people on the forum might be able to advise you better I believe.
