any idea how long it takes to get passport with visa!!!!!!!!

Hey guys I read da above discussion ... M agree wid all u guys da only prob wid educated people like us when we move to canada is dat whether we go for studies or for job .... But like I was in canada for 2 years on student visa n sone of my frnds even pass dere masters from UfT but even den they didn't get jobs ... So I m confused dat wat to stdy ... Like short courses like Crain operator , AC maintinenve or some repair type or like proper stdies ... Or go for cab driving....
One thng more is dere any organization which guide new immigrants to help dem to adopt new carrer or guide dem dat wat dey do or which field should dey join as I done diploma in networking from York uni n here I am comp. Engg. In india but I dnt think in Canada Dere is any job for me .....

Wat I think VISA is not a real problem da real problem is wat we do Wen we reach Canada ... How we earn our bread n butter in da starting months ... Basement rent ,, car insurance ,, furniture cost ,, grocery,, ph bills,, n fee for courses like security guard course fee ,, driving license fee,, n lots of many other expenses ....

These small problems are for ppl who come here as a skilled worker or immigrate on their own.
For a family class applicant your sponsor is suppose to provide you bead, butter, make up, clothing etc for the next 3 Years....they did sign an agreement with the Minister of Immigration.

Your Local YMCA - language assessment is your first start to a job search if you need help in Canada.

My spouse has finally got her visa! I will not get up tomorrow morning worrying about CHC,ND .

The Ecas now states that:
 "We received XX application for permanent residence on may 30, 2011.
  We started processing XX application on june 23, 2011.
  Medical results have been received."

but no letter to my spouse
hope for the best...!!

n dear me n my spouse planing to settle in new city so we have to start from 0 dats y m worried bout small thngs also as u knw by working on subways etc we can only earn 1500 1600 $ at max per mnth
So dats y I want to do sOme course like small courses which can provide me handsome salary jobs....

My Ecas is showing my duplicate names
Under sponsorship it says
In process: We received application to sponsor XX on June 1
On June 3 we started processing your application.

I was already approved on May 13 2011 which is reflected in second duplicate name under sponsorship.
Howerever under PR application both status is consistent in both the names.

WTF is happening.

Heard anything like this before.

Yes it was mentioned to submit before 25 Aug 2011. Is it CHC will proceed my case after 25 Aug or they will start processing the case immediately they receive my documents, let me know please. Kindly confirm do CHC will again ask any additional documents or they ask only once after reviewing the case. Comments will be appreciated please.

Hi, Everyone, not sure where to post this. I thought I might give it a try here since everyone here responds to posts.

My hubby will be here Aug 6th (2 weeks and 2 days to go!). He's an electrical engineer in India, he has worked for Essar steel. I was just wondering what would be the best option for him, Job opportunity/education wise. I know he's education/experience is not valid here in Canada. But i'm lost and I don't know how to guide him.

Anyone here know someone who's an electrical engineer??

Your hubby can apply for an fresher jobs without any hurdles and being in engineering filed it wont be any hard task, check this link and say him to register and apply at canada.recruit.net and more over In next two months, India is likely to become an eternal member of international accord. After getting the membership of the accord it will make Indian Engineering degree recognized among all the member countries.These are the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa.

dear no1 can say anything abt nd its all upon them but in my case the have started yet i think n they will start on the last date given to submit doc, i m saying so bcoz if they wud have started looking at my app, i wud have got decision yet as i ahve seen in many cases they took only 2 days to give decision when doc were complete.......so cant say anything abt it it can b anything, just pray ...good luck all

PPR request - 21 June PPR Received by CHC on 4th July 2011
Additional documents requested on 11 July and received on 17 July 2011
Waiting for favorable response from CHC Delhi, but ecas is displaying only application received ?

Based on your timeline, you should hear/see something regarding your app by Aug 8th. Reason being, my hubby was required to submit additional docs as well..see my profile for my timelines..

Don't worry, you'll get the visa soon!
