Year are right, I should definately wait until I hear back from the MP, its better to take one thing at a time, and yeah a more dealy is something I'd hate to experience, will the MP just email us back or they will call me? also after we contact MP, do they take 2 days or so to get bak to us? My case is straight forward, but I hope you do remember.. I've only stayed with my wife for 3 days after the wedding inculding the wedding day... Dec 12 wedding.. (main) - Dec 13 (walima) - Dec 14 (lucnch/dinner at in-laws) - Dec 15 (airport) Tho I did send in the proof of how I've already got approved for Vacation from Feb 24 til Mar 25 (and that is honeymoon time) We had amazing time in Kerela spent about 11 days  DNT2003 DNT since i was in your same scenario i don think CAIPS wont be of any use for you...as i know u and know that ur case is a very straight forward one with lots of evidence.
Our MP will get you the answer you are looking for within 10 days and all will be good then..i still think you will get a PPR in email like me.
Once you get the file # your process will be completed within a matter of weeks, that's the positive sign of getting a unusual delay like you have right now..
I had the same delay until May 6...they emailed and asked her PP and they sent it back with Visa on May 28.
Wait until you get a solid reply before you order CAIPS, is what i suggest...as Pulling CAIPS will furthur delay your processing time which you really don need right now.

Do you have pictures of your time in Kerala?? I would say send those photos and phone call logs after your marriage. Fprince, what do you say?? I still think his file is delayed and ND is waiting for the Physical file to issue a File#/PPR... However like FebPR stated..once you send the PP...send all the honeymoon pics and after marriage pics so they don have to ask you again... Being proactive with "Honeymoon" always works  |

Yes this was the plan, but I wasn't gonna send the pics, but since you've all suggestd I will send the pictures as well, I've already obtained the call log from the last 3 months... should be able to get the one for this month by end of the week as well..
Send everything to them.. and I hope the file isn't delayed... that's the last thing I'd want to hear...

But what if they request addtional documents along with the passport? ND had requested my husband send additional pictures of us and phone bills because i think the phone bill i had sent was missing days. I found our skype longs since feb till june and additional phone bills since jan till June 11th. We send those along with pictures. Will it still take long even if ND requests information? I hope not... |

Why would they send it to ottawa? they have immigration officers in ND that work on applications. |

I am not sure lawyer was right or wrong... but that what i came to know... as I have submitted some additional documents when they asked for PP.. and i am still waiting for their reply... congratulations buddy! the medical line also came for me "In Process" To continue from where I left of...... see above...
After the function has finished, I went back in my car, and called my wife, and since I have 2 phones, a friend calls me and he is having some computer issues, lost his skype password, and can't recover, and nor knows the email password so can't even reset. I offered to walk to his house as felt it would be better to take a walk while talking to my wife... he offers to come and pick me up so its faster.. I agreed... He comes.. I tell my wife to sleep as it is around 5:00PM here, but its 2:30AM MONDAY morning in India. I do whatever needed to be done to fix up the issue with skype, and manage to get in to his email with secret question, all is set, now we are waiting for the TEA to arrive, while waiting I decided to go on eCAS on Sunday evening at around 5:30PM.
I was surely taken by a surprise.. ecas has updated to say
IN PROCESS...
Then after I click on it to see what I will see next....
It says the following:
We received MY WIFE NAME application for permanent residence on April 5, 2011.
We started processing MY WIFE NAME application on June 16, 2011.
Medical results have been received.
I was surprised to see that they've worked on the file just 5 days after the first CSE I sent them on Jun/11, also "Medical result received..."
A question for EVERYONE... Does this mean they've gone through the whole file/app, and finally checked the Medical.. in the end.. or does the MEDICAL line come on for everyone who is IN PROCESS?
So to end this.. I'm very glad God has listend and I don't know how did ecas update during the night of India? as I can cleary say that before I left my house on SUNDAY mornig I checked eCAS and nothing was updated.. I remember checking eCAS as early as around 11:30am..
This does look very positive, and I have yet to check if any emails or anything came from them TODAY, nothing was there last night...
Thanks everyone for your support.... and I hope they complete me very soon...

I have a feeling you should be hearing back from them soon. Though, if you send in additional documents if they didn't request it, i feel like it takes long, because they want to know why you are sendin these documents. As far as I know, They have immigration officers that are trained in indian culture and they do all the screening and checking there. But then again, what do i know, i couldn't even lie on my application, though it could've been done easily and immigration officers would've never known and my husband would've been here by now. I hope you hear something soon. |

I don't know how true this might be! A couple of us had doc req after the PPR, and had got the interview date scheduled within a mnth. I'm sure there were a few others who had doc req and they weren't delayed because of it. The presumption is that any doc requested after the file is opened can cause a delay cause they'll hv a set date to open the file back. But with ND they've been pretty fast even with doc req. So, makes me think that there might be other issues which could cause delay.ie: Decision to be ok'd by a senior officer (?) |
