oh! i am from TN too...well do u know trichy? i belong there....well,in another 25-30 days u can see ur PR status change in Ecas from "not available" to "in process" and after that maybe in 1 or 2 weeks u will receive ur PPR...u can just refer my timeline....

my husband had to mail off some documents to Delhi.  He sent it to the address with P.O. Box.  I had sent him a text message telling him to send it to the office but he never got it before he sent the documents, and so he sent it to the address with P.O Box.  They told him it would arrive on Monday but of course since it PO box no one will be there to sign it.  Did we do the wrong thing?  We have to have all our documents there by no later than 13 of august so I am now very worried.  How often they collect their mail, once a day?  I might be worrying for nothing but if anyone knows anything I would be very relieved if you share it good or bad.  LOL.

how were the docs. sent? Regular post or courier? Cz courier packages generally get delivered to regular addresses, not PO Boxes! But if the courier company accepted it you should be fine too! Also, I dont think Indian Post would have any problems delivering it to PO Boxes.

Also, please dont worry about the delay. Cz in my previous app., CHC sent us a letter asking for additional docs, which was delivered to us 30 days later. As per instructions, we were required to mail back docs. in 30 days. We rushed to the embassy next morning and were told that there is nothing to worry about. He said they understand how the postal service works here and they give another 2 weeks to respond back after the deadline. If they still don't hear back, they call/email to find out what's going on! Hope you feel better after reading this =)

 @  Xyrus - going by the time line....i recon by mid-month you should have ur shiny visa...or you should think about emailing them to find out!

Hey, thanks minku9!  I read on another forum (trackitt.com) that someone with the exact same timeline as mine got the passport back with visa yesterday! Application sent to CPC - Mississauga - May 13th, File processing started in Delhi - July 8th, Passport sent to CHC-Delhi - July 26th, Passport with visa delivered - Aug 6th; NOW, this is lightening fast!

I don't want to mail them & bother them! I read somewhere some IO's get irritated by this =) Will try to be more patient! Good luck to all! I'll pray for all of us!

My husband didnt say but I am assuming its courier since it will arrive in delhi on monday.  Would speed post get it there by monday?  They guy where he sent it from said that there was no problem to have it delivered to PO box.  We have a tracking # so will have to keep an eye on it.

When do they usually ask for medical redo?  We have not received it yet and his medical has expired in January of this year.

Since they have already asked for additional docs., there is some progress! I think he should get medical done asap as it will be valid for a year from now! And you guys should be done much before that! Hopefully within a few months =) Good Luck!

Hey question for u - have u received PPR? or just a request for docs? Or did they request more docs AFTER PPR?

Nope, they never asked for PP during the entire course of case processing in our previous case. Only asked for additional docs!

Well we are an appealed case.  The passport has not be requested as of yet.  We had to send in new PCC and new application and copy of his passport and free pages.  I am sure it will be a few more weeks before that happens.  Iwas expecting a medical redo by now but have not recieved one.  The letter he received on June 25th said that if a medical redo was necessary he would get the request shortly but nothing yet.

Oh! didn't know it was stated that they will request medical redo if NECESSARY! Hopefully it won't be necessary then! I think it's better to wait n watch! No point getting it done till they ask for it!

Yes thats what we thought, no point in spending money on something they may not ask for. BUt the medical expired in January, so I cant see them letting us go without new medical
