Hi Cival,

I also sent some additional proofs to ND after coming to know the concerns from the GCM notes. Its been a week now and I dont see any update in my case. We have also completed the 6 month mark and still security and criminality check is pending. Very much frustrating. But I have heard from one of my friend that he got his interview waived and visa granted after he sent additional proofs. He is from Pakistan.

Hope we all have the same luck.

Hi Shamsia,

Can't the Applicant and Requester be the same person?
Do we have to fill up the 2 forms that you have mentioned always?

Hi Cricket365,

If the requester and applicant is the same person, you just need only one form.

Thanks,

Hi...I need advice...I got ppr on 12 dec 2011 sent pp on 19 dec 2011.its 105 days since nd received it..They r not replying to my case specific enquiry..ecas status application received since begininng..applied for caips notes ysterde...Shoud i contact mp? wot is the protocol for contacting mp ?
Thanx...

Does it at least say "In Process" in your ECas?

They are only going to reply to case specific enquiry if you have passed the 6 month mark- and it also says on their website too.

Not too sure about this, Doesn't the requester have to be a Canadian citizen or PR?

Hi Vengat,
I sent an email directly to   ATIP-AIPRP  @  cic.gc.ca
With both of those forms (IMM-5475 and IMM-5563) filled up and attached to the email. (I scanned the forms as pdf's)

Make sure that both the Applicant and Sponsor sign where needed.

hi cival, thanks for the reply.
How did you make the payment ?
Did you attach the payment receipt as well ?

thanks,
vengat.

Not really. If the request is from Principal applicant, then it doesnt need it.

Actually, you need both the forms. The request has to be from the Principal Applicant (because thats the person whos file in being processed), who is obviously not a Canadian PR or citizen. But the GCMS notes can be requested only by a PR or citizen (only they have the right to demand information accor to Canadian law). Hence, the PA has to authorize a Canadian citizen or PR to access their file for which they need form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

I suggest that you ask the PA to fill out the form, sign it and scan a copy to you. Take a printout, fill up the second form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf, do the payment, and you are good to go Smiley

Yes, you need to fill up the form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf. Sign it, scan and email that copy to your spouse, the PR. He/she will then fill up the form to order the GCMS notes http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5563.asp, do the payment and request the notes.

All the best! Smiley

Thanks Shamsia, I will do in this way. If I need any further help on this I will let you know.
Can we apply for the GCMS notes more than one time. I mean if I can apply next month and then if required after few more months. Is this feasible?
