its 47 days going,to sent my passport to new delhi,,but nothing to come.stil"Application received".

CHC new delhi request my passport on 24 Jan,2012.I sent my passport to chc on dated Feb 1,2012.Stil i did not get any answer from CHC.Its near about two month going.What should i do .??

I wanna ask to some guys who has have experince regarding this,it is better to ask through MP,or just stay calm and wait more???

How is it two months for you?
as per your post you sent PP on Feb 1st. it is only 48 days now?


Be patient man..!!!
there are people who are waiting for more than a year..
recently some people got visa as less as 4 months (including me)
hear from me..

Eventhough the CHC-ND's are not the best but they work.
You should be patient till the end of 6 months to contact your MP or any such..

Other than that you will just be banging your head in the nearest available wall ("dry wall" if you are in Canada)
thinking about "what,when, how etc etc.."

you have to wait and let the process do its job..
yes, sometimes CHC-ND has screwed things up
but we cannot do anything to undo the screw ups

the only thing what you can do is to send them as much as correct information that is supportive to your case,
other than that if your spouse has travel history, any other deviations (like overstay etc) it will be a long journey one

Criminality doesnt even come in the picture now..

Anwer to your question: PPR request eventhough a significant progress in the process doesnt mean anything.
                                depending on the season it will take somewhere 30 to 45 days to "Inprocess" and some times 60 days.
                                So you should be hearing from them

please note that i got reply from ND when i emailed them in regards to my enquiry.

firstly, when my file transffered to ND, App status was changed to "Application Received" after that it was changed to "In Process" and it was remained the same for almost 3 months but 4 weeks ago the status got changed back to "Application Received".

I have emailed ND to advice that why the status got changed, so the replied below:


Your application is currently awaiting review by a visa officer. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly.

I had the same issue and upon inquiring some people told me it is a system glitch.  Sometimes when your file is not reviewed in the standard time, the status automatically changes to application received.  it means nothing... so don't worry... did you order CAIPS notes to see what work has been done your application so far?

Not exactly my observation in last 6 months - "Automatic change" to in process ..No... No
The staff might have spilled coffee on the keyboard..
and when she wiped it flipped to "in process"...

I sent them many pics but did not send them any emails or phone bills. I am not sure what is enough for them. I am so worried and depressed here.

Will it be fine, if I send all those proofs now? I have many emails and other photos. Will it be wise to send them now or wait until for the interview. The interview date is not set yet.

Seniors please advice me on this. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

dont panic..

my case,
I sent phone bill after 1 week sending to CHC-M
(at that time I dont even have file number)

Then with PPR I had sent 200 pictures
NOt all documents are required at initial stages

however it is better to send them together..
other wise they may use it as "one side paper" to scribble

that is why I send all two side copies..

How did you guys send the photos? Just print it on a 6x4, and write at the back of the photo of the names and date/place it was taken?

I am thinking of categorizing them and putting them in different envelope (pre-wedding, wedding, honeymoon, etc..) and put them all in one big envelope meant for photo.

Hi,

Yes you should go ahead and file your application with your old address. If you already have a new address you could use that on your application for ND to mail out stuff to you instead of changing it later. But if you dont, then once you get a file number, you can always write to ND informing you of your address change. But I strongly suggest that if you have your new address right now please use it to save yourself from the headache of changing your address later on. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for quick reply ..yes i m planning to change the address before i fill the application hope and add the new address on application......hope everything goes smooth yaaar....but if i wanna inform them on later stage how can i communicate it to them through email or letter please let me know that as well.
