okay so...does this sound like a bollywood event to you guys? so i was on the way to mumbai from canada to see my wife who is from delhi. we had decided to meet in mumbai. so after i got out of the airport, i kept looking for her all around but couldn't find her. then getting mad and impatient, i called her and asked her where at the airport she is. she replied she is in delhi. i was like what the hell. why? then she said she got the visa!!!! these all happened only in between 11 hrs or so when i wasnt in touch with her while i was litrally on my flight. so yeah my wife finally got the visa. i am a june applicant and yes, no interview. the status remains unchanged, still in process. anyways, so for those who are still waiting, hang in there. it will come right to you. all you need is patience that i failed to convince even my wife to have.
Good luck..
Your story put a smile on my face! Good for you and your wife ... bet you never felt so fondly toward ND in your life!

As G said, it is only asked in cases where applicant has visited Canada. Did you live in Canada before?
Interesting to hear this ... will mention this to my husband as he visited Canada 3 years ago so he may get a similar request. This forum is so wonderfully useful in knowing what to prepare for down the line. Thanks.

Hello shamsia, how you doing? I read you are going to Saudi Arab? When you coming to Canada?
Hi hambzik! Nice to see you... how are things in Canada Yes I am inshallah going to Saudi Arabia for about a month in March. And from there to Canada, sometime in April. Havent booked the tickets yet, have to tie up a few loose ends down here first. My mommy has PR (I used to have it before marriage too) of Saudi Arabia, so she would be returning to Saudia, while I would be going on to Canada. Since none of us would be staying here, we need to shut down the house & everything...

there is no problem, if you ever looked at the requirements for legal change of name you don;t need PR card, the 3 documents required by feds are copy of your record of landing imm 1000, certified copy of a legal change of name document and certified copy of your provincial driver's licence, provincial identification card or provincial health card in the requested name. i think we should put this discussion to bed, its been beaten to death...lol. i know bro but the problem here is when i get my legal name change the previous name would be "xyz xyz singh" instead of just "xyz singh" so now i have proper matching pr card with my copr and pr card thus once i get my name change certifcate it will have my old name i.e. last name "xyz singh" and new name as "xyz singh surname"

Do the email and the physical letters have different dates? maybe the letter was mailed after the email, in error. If so, you have already sent in your documents. Maybe send them an email (using the website) and let them know that you have already sent in the info and include a tracking number or speed post receipt (if applicable) the PPR, and PCC is just a generic part of the letter (i think). Did the email also ask you to send in the 'travelling information'? if not, then maybe they forgot to ask for it the first time. In that case, send them that info and include a letter saying that you have already sent in the other stuff as per the email request (and attach the email). hope this helps (ps, this is not legal advise)

Hello Everybody,
I am new to the forum. I wanted to share my timeline and also have a few questions that i thought would share with everyone.
Application sent date : 30 Dec 2011 AOR date: 15 Feb 2012 Sponser Approved : 16 Feb 2012
I have a few questions
1) After I receive my PPR, within how many days do i have to submit my passport to the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi? Is there a time limit for that?
2) If I submit the passport 2 months after receiving my PPR, would it in anyway delay my process? To be precise will the VO in NewDelhi still process my file even if i do not send my passport or will they keep my file on hold till the passport is received?
Thanks, Karp

Hi Rajneet,
You have to send the travel information form and also mention in the covering letter that you have already sent the passport and pcc.

congrats karp2012 for your approval when they will request your passport, they will give you deadline also. you ll have to submit your PP before that date otherwise you will have to apply again ( im not expert but i think so) best of luck
