Hi, fadil80 Looks like we're batch mates -- I filed my application a week after you did, and my husband also did his medicals almost the same day as you. So I will be tracking your progress carefully - when you get notifications from ND, so should I a week later  Hope you figure out the best solution for your passport issue. I'm afraid I have no advice to offer but I'm sure other members will. All the best. @ amira_mais Nice to know I have company... I will post my status as and when its available. With regard to passport, I have to check. Lets see... Well, I have long way to reach to that stage. |

You cannot send passport by post from country to country.
It is against Indian passport law (please see your passport for details)
The person has to fly to India to deliver the passport.
And has to stay there (because ND will be holding the passport till Visa is given)
@ sivathegreat Thanks for the reply. I do agree with your comment. I m still doubtful about the passport. Some people say that, you can send along with official letter from ND Visa office. |

Thanks! I'm also an NRI. I live in the USA. and abotu your passport, DO NOT MAIL IT TO INDIA. Do not risk that. It's illegal and your passport can get held by customs, and probably will be difficult to get released. Either get someone to take it for you, or go on your own when they send you a PPR. If you send it through someone else, you will also be risking it a little bit, because what if they call you in for an interview and you won't be able to go? Let us know when your stage 1 is approved |

Not possible.. This cannot be discussed, argued or debated. Not Possible "Passports should not be sent out of the country of residence by post/courier. If lost or destroyed, the fact and circumstances should be immediately reported to the nearest Indian Mission and the local police to avoid the misuse of the same by undesired elements.
