Hey there, I got my PCC from the Passport Office because apparently it had more credibility. We did try from the Police Station, but the first time we went, they said you should go to Banjara Hills P.S first blah blah and we thought these people would make us run from pillar to post. My PCC from the regional passport office came in under 45 days. [/quote WELL, this rule only applies to punjab, the one i mentioned earlier, so u should be ok. Also yeah i think passport office has more credibility. |

Hello all,
I m new to this forum. I have been following this forum for the past few months and get to understand the process.
Let me breif about myself. I m a NRI living and working in UAE. My wife is an Indian-born-Canadian.
Here is my Timeline so far:

Visa Office......: new delhi
App. Filed.......: 17th Jan 2012
Doc's Request.: none yet
AOR Received.: not yet
File Transfer...: Yet to
Med's Done....: 15th dec 2011
Interview........: not yet
Passport Req..: not yet
VISA ISSUED...: not yet
I would like to know, if a PPR is made, which is the safest way to send my PP to ND from UAE?
Is there anyone with similiar to my case?
Please share if you have information.

Hi, fadil80 Looks like we're batch mates -- I filed my application a week after you did, and my husband also did his medicals almost the same day as you. So I will be tracking your progress carefully - when you get notifications from ND, so should I a week later Hope you figure out the best solution for your passport issue. I'm afraid I have no advice to offer but I'm sure other members will. All the best. |

You cannot send passport by post from country to country. It is against Indian passport law (please see your passport for details) The person has to fly to India to deliver the passport. And has to stay there (because ND will be holding the passport till Visa is given) |
