When we applied for my wife's PR, we spoke to our friends who went through this process and they all told us that they went with PCC from the main police station in Hyd (as far as I know, all the areas in hyd are divided into 2 or 3 police station areas for getting PCC's). They said passport offices take longer time where as if you get it from police station, you can get it in a week. So, we went with that but had to go to Chennai to get her PCC for the 4 yr period she was there. We finally ended up getting both the PCC's in 1.5 weeks but had to do a lot of travelling.

Hey there, I got my PCC from the Passport Office because apparently it had more credibility. We did try from the Police Station, but the first time we went, they said you should go to Banjara Hills P.S first blah blah and we thought these people would make us run from pillar to post. My PCC from the regional passport office came in under 45 days.  |

I knew u were gonna say that...lol. did u watch the game over the weekend? that was a good game. who you cheering for in superbowl? everyone loves canada and canadian...funny thing i think NBC did a story few years ago that how when americans travel to europe they try to canadianize themselves by using canadian flag on their backpacks or wearing clothes with candian flag or beaver on them as people are more hospitable to canadians then americans so have you started using the canadian trade mark...eh! lol. where in the US are you from...i;ve been an albertan all my life. ps slow day at work again? @ singhson

@ singhson I'm a California baby!! I wasn't able to watch the game cos I was at a relative's house..I was rooting for the 49ers and they lost (heartbreak  ) For the Superbowl, I'll probably cheer for the Giants! I do blurt the "eh" once in a while..LOL Work is slow yes..I am a Social Worker at schools, looks like people ran out of "social" issues..LOL |
