Btw annual quota for FSW for 2012 is 61,000, which includes family for FSW too.

For MI-3 total application is 10,000. Considering a family of 2.5 approx this will be 25,000 visa.
So 36,000 visa still left for 144,000(MI-1) and maybe some MI-2(considering they received approx 17,000 applications out of which most of them are processsed I am keeping the number at 10,000 pending which is on a higher side)
Out of these 1.5 lakh if 30% to 50% are rejected than it is 90,000 to 70,000) 2 to 3 years to clear that quota.

I have noticed a lot of negative thinking here about survival jobs (waiter / cab driver). You are in Finance and I would have thought that would be where you would be looking. I assume you have a university degree in accounting in which case the CGA (Certified General Accountant) program will give you a number of credits for their courses which you can take at your own pace on line while doing a full time job.

According to their booklet just being enrolled in their courses means that you can get a starting position paying around $55,000pa. (Not bad). The CGA will also help you find work and employers go to them for candidates.

I'm told that it is possible to become a CGA in less than 2 years if you have the right education and background. Then you are looking at big money and don't need Canadian experience. Banks here hire new immigrants.

dear friends i m new to this forum

got in process on first weak of april 2012

noc - 0111
vo - ND
in.app in june -2010

i got verification call yesterday from NDVO..

first they called at home bcz my cell no was out of reach , then they tock to my dad abt me & my wife like marriage date etc.

then they called my boss - around 7-8 min they verify my details

then they called me and asked same question which they asked to my boss.

i m afraid there is some of contradiction btw. us

same thing happen with my friend last weak

i m in  very worry   

senior plz help any inputs?

what discrepancies over phone,  do u think are worrisome?

1. stop worrying if you think you are genuine, at least by above 90%.
2. worry or do not worry, if u are not a genuine 0111/1111 case.

u have done a splendid job by updating the  list. But ,there are many who have dated IP.i would appreciate if u could incorporate the required inforrmation in this regard,as well.I can ud that understand, fellow membrs are passing through a very tricky situation. But still,we shuld help each others in whattever manner we can, with a possitive mind however.

 I think we should consider NDVO situation. As of Jan 6, 2012 there were approx. 18650 persons for MI-1 visa pending with them (FSW1,2 &3) along with approx. 5000 MI-2 and 2000 MI-3. Since quota for NDVO is 8000 visas for 2012, assuming they receive further 3000 MI-3 & process 2000 out of them in 2012, that would leave 4000 visas (8000-2000-2000) for MI-1 and MI-2. Since approx. 5000 MI-2 are left, the chances of any MI-1 cases getting visas in 2012 from NDVO are v. slim unless there are some rule changes in MI-1 favour...

It v. much seems that IP w/date earlier was just an 'ICE CREAM' (term as introduced by Anil ji) to pacify us...

I guess we should not put much hope on the BFD's since they can always issue another one if required quoting any no. of
reasons such as lack of manifesto, other MIs being given priority etc. Anyway one should be optimistic and hope to receive
MR by end of this year.
One hope is also that Kenny has promised to eliminate all back logs by 2014.

 According to me 2-3 more years is for complete MI-1 clearance. Ppl. at the beginning of MI-1 queue might get their visas by early 2013.

Another thing which I forgot to mention is that both Nano's and my calculations have not factored in rejections at VO stage. If we assume 30% (maybe more or less) rejection rate at this stage,
it is possible that the backlog of all MI's might get eliminated quicker in 1-2 yrs itself. We have to wait for the latest data to be released by CIC to get a clearer picture.
