Not taken into account that India & China both were on a roller coster ride with more than 8% growth since last decade(slowed down now).
So for people with stable jobs and good income, immigrating is a no brainer, unless the motive to immigrate is not money.

halo seniors ,my ecas status changed to in process on march 28th,on the same day i got an email from ndvo to submit my fbi clearance certificate before 14th of may.otherwise my application will be cancelled.i have applied for the fbi clearance one month before.when i called fbi today, i got the information that it may take one more month to proceed the application.what should i do now?.should i inform ndvo or wait till the fbi clearance to come. seniors please do reply.

this means that we all have to wait till 2013. it seems that their email of 2 yrs or more of wait is becoming true.

It is quite possible. The difference between NDVO and other visa offices is that the number of MI2 and MI3 applications has been the highest from NDVO. They already have inventory and MI2 and MI3 applications sufficient enough to fulfill their visa quota for 2012. Medicals for MI1 applicants, in my opinion, would start coming towards the last quarter of 2012.
But ultimately nothing is predictable. I was least hopeful that something would happen 2012, but ever since the start of 2012, so many pre june applicants have gone from RBVO to in process. I was pleasantly surprised to see my status going in process because I am one of the last applicants in the queue, and some guys who submitted before me are still RBVO.

VO's are dealing files based on labour market demand and priority will be first on MI3 and then MI2 and MI1 will come only after MI3 & MI2 are finilised. So pre-juners has to wait a little more.  Being 0111 & 1111, that comment is really not a concern for us.

If Finance Managers are not in demand we are going to be stuck here for years. But our files have processed only recently. To cope with their policy and to cater labour market demand they have to process 0111 & 1111 files.

Why should we worry based on that VO's letter? What's say?

Nothing yet. My BF'D is 18th May.
Will inform for sure even if there is no change. I don't expect any change by then pesonally.

Basically BF"D is just an automatic reminder for the VO to check our files just to consolidate any additional documents received from us after the previous BF'D.

I am applying for CAIPS again, just to see what the VO's commenting on that date on my file. (I had sent a letter to them last month regarding the change of my correspondence address)

I have noticed a lot of negative thinking here about survival jobs (waiter / cab driver). You are in Finance and I would have thought that would be where you would be looking. I assume you have a university degree in accounting in which case the CGA (Certified General Accountant) program will give you a number of credits for their courses which you can take at your own pace on line while doing a full time job.

According to their booklet just being enrolled in their courses means that you can get a starting position paying around $55,000pa. (Not bad). The CGA will also help you find work and employers go to them for candidates.

I'm told that it is possible to become a CGA in less than 2 years if you have the right education and background. Then you are looking at big money and don't need Canadian experience. Banks here hire new immigrants.

No more waiter talk - you will all do well.

If you are Chartered Accountant in India with an university degree, then you can as well apply under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding on Reciprocal Membership Arrangements negotiated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

All that you are required to do for becoming a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants are:

•   Successfully complete the Uniform Evaluation, and
•   Demonstrate that you meet the prescribed practical experience requirement
 
You are supposed to obtain a member of ‘Good standing' from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for applying as a student in the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. The requirements for being a member of ‘Good standing' are payment of fees on a regular basis and completion of required number of CPE hours.
