According to this my Junior school kid is also a skilled worker  Shocked Shocked

Buddy

8000 applications means Applications ,dependents are not Skilled workers They are counted in the expected head count to calculate the Load on Infrastructure

If VO go by the calculations mention in your statement then MI 1 applicants can expect to get a visa after voting in the 2014 elections In India

hi

as per my understanding spouse & Dependent children also get permanent residency along with principal applicant under federal skilled worker category- Economic Class. As per the given link it say "CIC 2012 Permanent Resident Visa Targets – Economic Class"

so i think is 8000 / 2.5 (Average members approx.) = 3200 PA to get visa for ND

Please correct me if i am wrong

regards

Your kid is not counted as skilled worker but as dependent of skilled worker, yes visa quota is for no of visas issued for particular category.
Canada welcomes 260000 persons per year including applicants and their family members, out of 61000 are SW category including dependents.
New delhi has 8000 visa quota thats why NDVO is saying that finalization may not occur until 2012.

I understand wat u want to say...that make sense when CHC communicated that MI-1 will take 2 or more years to get finalized.

I think that someof us will get visa in 2014 as DBC stated.

Consider this.
As per the mail by CHC ND
For Pre June, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision. This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011.

From this it can be deducted that 144,000 people, not applications are pending to receive a decision. This number includes PA and dependents.
Considering 2.5 person per applicant it comes to around 57600 applicaitons all over the world.
The overseas target for FSW is 61000 people only. This includes MI-1, MI-2 and MI-3.

Now if we consider that at least 3/4 th of MI-2 applicants got their visa last  year and MI-3 all are pending than this number will come to around 20,000 to 30,000.

So only 31000 for Pre June.
We all are in for a long wait guys.
