I think we are lucky that we got such an early response and Minister Kenney is really doing his job of clearing the backlog means he sticks to his words I will vote for him when I go to Canada, he is the man I like him because we submitted our full documents late I mean in early 2011 and still we got the response and if you look at the applicants who got medical requests recently, they have submitted their full documents like 3 years ago, God bless the conservatives and hopes that I can be their good worker if I ever go to Canada. God bless Canada and the Consevative party minister Kenney is clearing the mess created by the democrats

I've just received my CAIPS/GCMS notes and need to understand the following comments especially 'IMM 1017S Requested 13-04-2012' and 'PF1:DOC PF2:NOTES PF3:MED F14:SUM F15:FOSS F17:VALIDATES F18: PERS INFO OR PF4' and PAPER FILE SENT TO CBL (what is CBL???)

I have received CAIPS Notes but noted that CIC withheld certain portion of record/information and provided following explanation in cover letter:

This is further to your request under the Access to Information Act for the London CAIPS notes concerning ...........received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada on ....
The processing of your request is now complete and I am pleased to enclose the documents requested. Certain information qualifies for exemption pursuant to section(s) 19(1) personal information, 15(1) International affairs and defence of the Access to Information Act.
Please be advised that you are entitled to bring a complaint regarding the processing of your request to the Information Commissioner within sixty days of the receipt of this notice. The complaint form can be retrieved at: http://www.oic-ci.gc.ca/eng/lc-cj-logde-complaint-deposer-plainte.aspx.

Is it common practice that CIC withheld certain portion of record or this is specifically done in my case? The forum members who have already received CAIPS Notes are requested to comment, please.

I think this is standard wording. Under privacy act of canada there are certain exemptions available as not to release certain information. In immigraton cases the information related to the process adopted / agencies contacted for backgound / security checks might be kept confidential. Though this information might be documented in our CAIPS / GCMS but not released under the above mentioned act.

if you order your CAIPS today, your file will be fetched in first week of July i.e. almost two months from your inprocess date.. so in my opinion, its right time for you.
