Khan if a person is sharing some valuable information and taking out his time to reply to some post it does not mean that he is staying to be smart, well he is smart by helping other forum members, u have some jealousy factor in u, I have never seen him trying to be what u just said, he is a respectable member of this thread,so we should respect each other opinion whether it's right or wrong, we should correct each other instead of throwing rude comments..

Hi Star
I received 6 to 12 months wait letter and as per CAIPS notes my next BFD is 30.4.2013. Today me e-case status showing old address. Its very strange, does this change happen with all applicants who received wait letter. Please comment.
Regards

why everyone is getting his CAIPS file while i got my GCMS??

CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system historically used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada), other than new applications at offices which have switched to using the 'GCMS' system.

FOSS is the computer system historically used by CIC offices in Canada to track all immigration-related information, but like the CAIPS system is being superceded by GCMS.

GCMS is short for 'Global Case Management System', and is a newer computer system that CIC are rolling out across their offices.

Found the above info on net, as far as I understood, GCMS is a new system and I guess it also has to do something with file numbers i.e E or B ... But I am not sure... GCMS is for new files as per info available on net.. The format of both are also different as GCMS is screen shot of ur actual file..
Searched info on net and wrote what I found, please guide me also if it's wrong...

GCMS is 32 pages documents (not screen shots) and its format is given here

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MvePamES8FhOJ9fO4Nh8sf0pHhjvOUBTPWTzYdYXwp4/edit?hl=en_US&pli=1

Haral, in my GCMS , ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT=passed
points are calculated
and a note added that full review complete, interview waived, request updated forms, issue medical, request RPRF.

Please let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks bro for guiding, I dont know much about GCMS thats why put everything I read on net (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/what-is-the-difference-between-gcms-and-visa-file-includes-caipsgcms-t98062.0.html) as searched the details there... Anyways, can you confirm about due date thing as somebody also asked you that... Moreover did you get specific answer to ur query that why u got GCMS not CAIPS?
