Hi Everyone,
This is my first-ever post in a Forum.
I just want to gather your thoughts about the Tourist Visa Application.
Here's my case:
I am a Permanent Resident in Canada (been staying here for 6months now), and I am inviting my boyfriend from the Philippines to come here for a visit.
He will be submitting the requirements next week and I am a bit nervous now about the application.
He is planning to visit on January and could only stay for about 4-5 weeks because of work.
Together with the application form, he will be submitting the following documents:
- original copy of bank statements for the past 6months
- copy of statement accounts (credit card, condo rental)
- income tax return
- Employment Certificate
- Approved Leave of absence Letter
- Invitation Letter from me (not so sure about the content of the letter)
- Copy of payslips
- Copy of ID's (employment, Driver's License)
Other than the above documents, what else should he submit?
Do you have any thoughts if he's gonna be approved or not?
Please advise, i am really really nervous and getting paranoid about this.
Thank you.
Has he had previous international travels? This helps to establish that he has really gone out of the country as a tourist, visitor. There are no guarantees to, or sure way of obtaining a visitor visa. He must prove he has enough ties to want to go back to the Philippines- a good job (as evidenced by Certificate of Employment), properties (Land Titles,if he has any), family, friends. The 4-5 weeks stay is good. There are earlier posts on applying for a visitor's visa that are similar to your case. Just search and read on.
