Hi Friends!

I am starting this thread for those who are planning to apply after 01 July 2011 (MI-3). Lets share if you have any idea how points will be distributed and what is needed to apply and any other thing worth sharing.

Thanks

But why you are waiting for July, 2011?

Only speculations, nothing concrete.

High Age  - less points
Experience - less credit (points)
Language One - from 16 to 20 points

I can understand less credit for high age & more points for language.

But it is bad to give less points for experience. Currently they give 21 (max) for 4 years; if they change it to 21 (max) for 8-10 years experience, that should be okay but limiting points to experience is double blow to candidate as candidate would loose points on age as well as (loose) would get less points comparatively for experience.

High Scores given for first language is
S=6.5, L=7.5, W=6.5, R=6.5... below that means minus points to your language... please do check Language in the cic.gc.ca website

I plan to submit my application on or after 1st July '11 under FSW1 category, once the changes are up on the cic website.

Till then, request the senior members to confirm the structure of my application package as per CIO and Buffalo VO checklists in reference to the current guidelines.

1.   Cover page (explaining things that matter--- employment gaps etc.)
2.   CIO Checklist (original)
3.   Application for Permanent Residence in Canada [IMM 0008 Generic]..for principal applicant (original)...stapled with sealed envelopes
containing 4 photographs each for every applicant
4.   Schedule 1: Background Declaration...for each applicant (original)
5.   Schedule 3: Economic Classes (original)
6.   Additional family information [IMM 5406]...for each applicant (original)
7.   Fee payment form [IMM 5620] (original)
8.   Passport's bio-data page for each applicant (photocopy)....Now bio-data page means the ones that have your name, dob, photo and even the last page with address...am i right??
9.   2 self-addressed mailing labels
10. IELTS results (original)
11. Fee payment - Bank Draft......I made a minor mistake in this one. I made it payable to 'THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA' instead of 'RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA'.....is the extra 'THE' allowed??
12. Buffalo Visa Office Checklist....Am I required to place the documents which are already covered in the CIO Checklist like the Forms and passport bio-data page again hereafter??
13. Birth certificate..for each applicant (notarized photocopy)
14. Marriage certificate (notarized photocopy)
15. Passport page with stamped visa...for each applicant (notarized photocopy)
16. Degree and professional certificates (notarized photocopy) and university sealed transcripts (original)..for each applicant
17. Letter of reference from past and current employers..only for principal applicant (original)
13. 'Proof of funds' Letter from bank (original)
14. Bank statements of past 6 months (photocopy)
15. Proof of application for PCC
16. Current and expired entry/exit stamp pages of passport, I-94, I-797..for each applicant (notarized photocopy)

Awaiting response!! Please do reply...thnx in advance  Smiley

yes its ok

you need to submit all documents just once and not twice. if they are covered in one check list don't put them again

Dear all,
i am new to the forum... i am a social worker by profession in a canadian organization in Pakistan. But my qualifications are M.Sc Health and Physical Education and M.Sc Economics. Does it affect my chances. Huh?

Today is 27th June, 2011, looking like i missed applying before 30th June, 2011. I wanted to apply under category 4152 social workers.
I am worried that weather the category will remain in the list or not after 30th June, 2011. Huh??

My age is 34 on this april. IELTS 6.5 equals to 14 points. experince more than 5.5 years.
Are new changes will reduce my scores in these criterias. Huh?

Help me in this regard.

Regards,
Bahadur
