You know when they asked to update documents (which is for me 9 months ago) I have submitted the current and previous passports copies with certified by notary public and also on the Passport request letter they mentioned nothing about the previous passports.

More comments and advises please........

regards,

Still they ask for the old passport along with the new one. Is it not mentioned in the letter?

Hi Everyone!

I m not sure whether I m posting this in the right section... However I would really appreciate if someone can help me in answering couple of questions which in-fact gives me sleepless nights :'(,

1. How much time does it take for Canadian Immigration from India ?
2. After submitting all the documents, like previous Employers letters, Current Employers letters, Pay slips, Copy of your and your family's passports, photos, Bank statements.. etc .. etc.. what is the next action ?
3. Even medical hasn't been done yet?

** To be honest the immigration case was filed in 2005.

Please Please Please do reply to my post... Waiting for your candid answers / feedback.

Thanks much in advance!

Hi joy4u
Is it mentioned in the first letter that you have to submit old passports too??
In my case, i didn't send old passports because they were expired...and also it has not been mentioned in that letter i received with Passport request.

man4uni, it sounds like you applied under the old rules as a skilled worker.  You can see the processing times here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02a-skilled-fed.asp#asia average 67 months from India.  You can also go to trackitt.com and look at cases with similar application dates to see what is going on.

Hello guys,

Few important dates:
Sent passport and RPRF (wrong amount, some 10K more) on 14th July 09 through speed post.
Passports and RPRF reached CHC New Delhi on 18th July 09.
Received RPRF DD back on 27th July 09 along with a letter, dated 23rd July from CHC to send the proper RPRF.
Sent correct RPRF DD on 28th July 09.
Correct RPRF DD reached CHC on 29th July 09.
Received receipt for RPRF on 10th August 09. Receipt date is 3rd August 09.
TODAY, 14TH AUGUST, RECEIVED A LETTER ALONG WITH MY PASSPORTS BACK.....WITHOUT VISA.
Letter(dated 30th July 09) says:
This refers to your application for Permanent residence in Canada. We have reached the final stage of processing of your application. Unfortunately it is not possible to communicate the decision to you unless ALL of the following are provided:
1. Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
2. Original passport along with any old expired passport
You have 45 days from the day.......blah blah blah......
 -------------------------------------
My last action regarding this : Immediately sent the RPRF receipt along with the passports. Sent the original receipt and kept a copy with me.

Regards
joy
