The waiting period for Bucharest is 6 months... but it is sooo long. I am extremely anxious about this since I feel extremely lonely without my husband. I hope thqat by spring there is a light... an answer and we are together again.
Anybody else married to a Romanian and having to endure the same thing?

Denisa, I understand that every second spent away from your beloved is one second too long.
However, Bucharest is very fast compared to other offices. I participate in Russian-speaking forum elsewhere and there are Russian-speaking women from Moldova whose wait time was as short as 2.5 months. Even Moscow that advertises 8 months (it was 6 not so long ago) is much much slower than Bucharest. And let's not forget there are offices where wait times are much longer.
When was your file opened in Bucharest? - Could you share your timeline with us?

We sent the file to my parents on November 4 and they received it and sent it to Missisauga. The immgration service received it on November 12. The immigration service send us a letter on December 23 but I opened it on January 8 when I came back from Romania. They said that I was approved as a sponsor and that the file went to Bucharest.
Now... it's January 18... so I am kind of worried about the file.. it must be 2 weeks.
I am waiting patiently for me and my husband to be together but it's especially hard for him since he does not have a job and is living with his parents and sick grandmother.
When did you send your application?... Just curious

Abu-Dhabi 25 months Islamabad 26 months Nairobi 31 months imagine waiting 1-2 years+ without knowing anything at all?! Bucharest is a fast good office  soon it will be over! good luck |

Manila was 10 months but they just updated few weeks ago and it went down to 9 months...it was a good news but still the waiting sucks...  it seems that everyday is forever . But not much we can do but wait patiently Goodluck everyone!  |
