Thing is, I haven't seen it since we scanned it for the PR application.....back in July/August 2010

Then we moved out of my GFs home into our apartment in October....can;t remember if/where I packed it...all the places I would NORMALLY pack it - it's not there.

I guarantee as soon as I send off papers to cancel it, I'll pull it out of my back pocket or something.

It's not in the scanner is it? Or fallen into some part of the scanner/printer?

Do you have a folder for your PR application, could it be tucked in between pages?

Underneath a computer monitor/computer tower/laptop?

*thinking of hiding places*

Inside a hidden pocket of a purse or wallet?

That's all I can think of. I really hope you find it or in the very least getting the new one doesn't mess things up.

Yep, we are gonna rip apart my GFs parents computer room tonight, search my old bedroom etc.

I flicked through all my paperwork, all the book in the apartment, literally not a place I did not check...it's definitely not at our place

I'll have to ring CIC tomorrow and let them know and see what they want me to do...hopefully as simple as scanning it again and re sending them the copies - or even better, just taking it with me to my landing interview without any issues

Thanks awor!  Smiley

Any luck?

Your story just bothers me a lot knowing that you are almost at the end of the process and look what happens, your PP is MIA Sad

Sometimes the harder you look, the more elusive whatever you're seeking becomes.  You're panicked because you're finally at the end of such a long wait - waiting for them to request it, and now you can't find it.  Sounds like the kind of thing that happens to me.  For example: yesterday I was doing laundry and found my bank card in the back pocket of my jeans where I put it when I was buying gas.  I took it out and put it carefully somewhere - only problem is, for the life of me I can't remember where that somewhere is.  I am just trying to lay low, not stressing, knowing it will show up in the least likely place.  One time I found my lost bank card (after I'd already reported it missing and gotten a new one) in the freezer stuck to the bottom of a box of frozen chicken wings!

Try not to think about it for a day or so and it will suddenly come to you where to find it.

A cautionary tale; thanks for the warning. I booked a flight home to the US and got my passport out to fill in the information online. That was Tuesday and I still haven't put my passport (with my PR card clipped to the last page) back where it belongs. It is going to be put away right now.

I hope you find yours. I am not a Catholic but I remember my best friend in middle school was, and she was prone to losing things too. She used to say "St. Anthony, St. Anthony, please look around.
Something is lost and must be found." May St. Anthony help guide you in your search for your missing passport.

One time I found my lost bank card (after I'd already reported it missing and gotten a new one) in the freezer stuck to the bottom of a box of frozen chicken wings!
Of course now everyone would like to know how that card ended up there!
