There are many posts here that paint the CIC officers as uncaring and randomly nice depending if they have a good day (or not).

I was wondering if we can have this posting here as a catch all as to what your experiences with these officers have been.

Have/were you treated well? Were they uncaring? Uptight? Nice? Ambivilent? Maybe if we have a post like this, we can prepare all who are scheduled for an interview, or want to prepare in case they do get called fo a interview.

When crossing into Canada via the Peace Bridge (Buffalo) I have never had a problem. Before the passport rule came into effect I was never checked for ID, it was always Where are you going? Why? How long? Have a nice day. Very pleasant experiences. It's crossing back into my own country (US) where I'm a natural born citizen of that they like to interrogate further and search my car, but that has never been a big deal either.
