x-posted from the pnp forum:

hey guys,

i've been living and working in canada for 4 1/2 years now. i'm from ireland but my nb pr application (under the provincial nomination program) has still been in process for over 4 years. during that time i've struggled to find work here. my present work permit runs out in 12 days time (oct 14th). it was for a seasonal teaching post which is has been axed this semester. i'm reaching a point of desperation and am wondering what my options are for staying legal in the country. can i easily extend my stay even though i presently have no work? (i'm living with my partner and we have been surviving on her wage).

i want to make new brunswick my home; what are my options - short-term and long-term?

peace.
