TEMP WORKING  VISA (CAN I PROCESS HERE IN DUBAI OR IN THE PHILIPPINES)

Am 26 yrs old and i got a job offer in calgary, alberta as a guest service (receptionist) in a well know branded hotel, and am just waiting for my LMO result and then that is the time am going to apply for my temporary working visa, the human resource manager said that i might go back to my home country (philippines) to process my visa but i ask her if its possible to process my temp. working vis here in dubai, and she said that she's not sure about that. I tried to check the canadian emabassy here and it indicates in thier website that they do process temp. working visa in abu dhabi and as far as i undrstand i can apply even though am a filipino citizen living here in dubai. I also check the difference between manila and abu dhabi regarding the process in temp. working visa but it look like the same thing. So i prefer to process my visa here in abu dhabi instead of going back to my country. ( you know to save more money)

Do you have any experience or idea's about my concern. I just want to make sure that if i will submit my documents to the candian embassy in abu dhabi i wont have a problem and ofcourse i dont want to have delays because am a filipino citizen living here in dubai.

Am expecting my job offer and the lmo result this week. All my documents are ready now.

Pls pls pls.. give me all the info that i need.

FYI.. I did my research about applying a temp. working visa here in dubai. I also checll all teh website for candian embassy and other related site for this. I just want to gain more insight about this

Thank you!

Hi BCguy, this is a follow up question regarding the process of temprary working visa. When I search on line about the time line for processing the temporary working visa I read that it will take 6 months to be able to get the working permit visa , now my concern is that when i had my job interview over the phone with the director of human resource of the company she said that the LMO will take max of 5 days and the processing of my working visa would be maximum of 2 months. I really dont know if this will take 2 months or 6 months... am confuse. As far as i know that they will be needing me as soon as possible. Do you think BCguy that if the canadian embassy here in Dubai see or notice in the LMO that the company will be needing me as soon as possible they will give more attention to my temporary working visa application process?

The company that I will be joining with and the one who's going to sponsor me is a big company in the hospitality industry worlwide. Its a Biggest Hotel brand in the world. Do you think it will also effect my visa process? Or do they need to make a letter from the embassy to have a special attentiion to my application?

Am just hoping that it can process or get my visa done asap.

FYI

Am still waiting for my LMO result, as far as i know this week il be hearing from my employer regarding the LMO result.

Thanks alot!
