haris in order for a telephone marriage or proxy marriage to be accepted by the canadian authorities it has to be legal in the ountry where it takes place , for example if they are getting married in pakistan then pakistan laws has to acknowledge this marriage so that the canadian services accept it

Telephone marriages are not valid in the UK so it would not be recognized by Canada Immigration.

i have read for American fiance visa couple should meet in person to apply for this visa, so marriage would be the same that will make trouble, better for you to make trip to your spouse or get your spouse where you are now and get married and trip should be bigger they always ask question why trip was so small our case was exceptional because we make big trip and then cancel to short trip due to some problems , you have to remember all these things short trip will get them suspicious because in real marriages couple wants to get to know each other want want to spend much more time together my advise will be to you , keep all these things in mind and learn from our experiences  then things will be smooth for you inshallah.

I am in Canada, my fiancée in Pakistan. Currently position is not allowing me to visit Pakistan.

Mean while I am thinking to get Nikkah(wedding) on phone. For this reason I want to make my elder bro my representative in Pakistan. As soon nikkha will be done I will apply for Sponsorship? After her Immigration (PR visa) I have mind to go for Reception/ceremony And Honeymoon.

Here I would like to know the procedure, how can I give power of authority to my representative (my bro) in Pakistan? What documents I have to send to him?

Should I go to my religious Mosque with two witness then infornt of them, I signed on one paper “that I am giving my authority to my brother as representative to my brother to signed on behalf of me in Pakistan on marriage deed. Then Mosque Imam (leader of Mosque) in Canada endorse that paper”
Is it enough to make representative? Or is there any legal documents too?

PMM if possible reply....

I know one Friend who did that as I mentioned. But it was happened in 2001/2002. He was in Ontario and she was in Pakistan.
I heard about some more cases recently (I don't know them personally)  so i am just wondering  the recent procedure......

Is this law documented somewhere (such as in CIC site)?
Could you like to share your case? Where were you & where was he? Did you or he made any representative before Nikah and him Power of Authority? At the last but not least where did you registered your marriage?
Thx

Its hard enough for folks to be married in Canada with kids for years and years to be sponsored; and you think they will except a marriage via telephone?

As if.. and if they did then fk the years of so called evidence i have.

Id say it wont work.
