experienced canadian telecom engineers are laid off everyday. no jobs for new immigrants, try in few years.

I don't think like that. I landed here in Toronto September 2011. Applied in Monster & Workopolis. Got three interview calls with in a month and a half. 2 out of them came out of regular job offer.

I believe there are lots of opportunities for IT / Telecom guyz.
