Is anyone applying for sponsorship through Tel Aviv office?
I have just filed for my wife last week, and hoping to find others with similar circumstances  Smiley

Application Received: October 31st, 2011

Does anyone know how am I supposed to be tracking the application in the future? Will I be receiving a letter from CIC?

hi mosh951,

I'm actually sponsoring my husband thru the tel aviv office.  We've been in process since June 2nd 2011.

Did you just apply to cic-miss or has it already arrived at the tel aviv office?

well first your going to have to wait 70 days to get the first approval.  inshallah when that happens they'll transfer ur case over to tel aviv.

since urs is a wifes case u might finish faster than us, as long as she hasn't travelled to alot of places.  there was another guy who got his wife's visa withing 4 months of applying.

tel aviv received our application on may 17th and they started processing it on june 2nd.
they send us a request for his birth certificate and now we're just waiting on background and security checks which they started in june.  they recently replied to my email saying that it could take up to 6 month or more, but since he's never been out of palestine and he has a clean record i don't think it'lll take much longer.

tel aviv is actually very good with emails.  They've always replied to my emails and they always write their own emails (they never used an automated email with me).  They haven't requested any interview yet and i don't think they will because they always said "you're husband" when replying to my emails and they also told my MP that it was a positive selection but they're just waiting on the background checks to come back.

so all in all it should all be ok.

and my husband is also from the west bank.

Enshallah it won't take 6 months Smiley . It might be a little harder to sponsor a husband that it is for a wife, but still since he has a clear record and not alot of traveling, he should be fine Cheesy

As for me, I'm quite young, and my wife isn't 18 just yet. Her application was fairly easy to complete since she is under 18. We did not have to submit a number of the forms.

But Wow 4 months only, thats pretty awesome!! I think the thing with tel aviv is that it only deals with Israel and the West Bank, so how many applications could it possibly have!! maybe you are right, it might not take 7-8 months as they mentioned on the timeline.

I have a question though, you know how in Palestine they don't have mailing addresses. How are we supposed to be communicating with the VO there? Also when you mailed your application to Mississauga, did you receive any kind of tracking number to track your app while its in Canada?

When you send it to cic-m you won't get any kind of notification until she is approved.  so just keep checking the processing times.  A week after they start process your date if you haven't received any emails (if u put an email) or regular mail from them, then just call them up.  They'll tell u on the phone if you got accepted as a sponsor.

Once you get that email or letter then u'll have ur client id number and u'll be able to check ur case online.

Tel Aviv sent us the AOR and the document request to my address here in canada.  So that's probably how they'll communicate with you too.

Don't worry, your wife will probably be done very fast since she's not even 18 yet.

The worst for you guys is the 70 day processing from cic-m but after that everything should go fairly fast.

Your probably right about why tel aviv is pretty fast.  Hopefully u'll be reunited with your wife soon. Smiley
