TB found

Hi all,
My husband was asked for retake his X-ray and asked for a Sputum test, He undergo this test, doctor found some thing in his test report and give him some medicine to take and asked to retake his test after 2 months. I think they found some Tb, however he never had any symptome of TB. Could anybody tell what happand in such case. Is there any chance to get a Vis or that is the end. Is there any similler case anybody knows. Hom much time altogether could be require.

ps. Can I visit (leave canada) my Husband during the Processing time

Hello NO it is not over....TB can be treated with medication and alot of it...the thing is your spouse is exempt from exessive demand but not exemp from a danger to the public health...

So thus is why why they have ordered medical furthering.....they will oder him to undergo a series of treatment and once they are no longer a danger to the public then...if all is fine and background checks pass and all the other checks clear they will order him a medical redo

My hubby had the same thing happen to him the first time we applied (13 years ago) - he had to take one course of medication and then redo the medical. All seemed ok. At that time, our sponsorship didn't go through .... but nothing to do with the medical.
This time around, he's taken his medical and we haven't heard anything back - so hoping it's all good.

What we were told the first time is that they saw TB scars - meaning they assumed he had active TB at some point even though he never knew it. As it turned out, it was no big deal and the 2nd physical was fine. They just need to confirm it isn't active

The Doctor game some medicine to My husband and asked him to go after 2 months, now my question is what will be application status? will they hold untill the normal Medical result or they will do other checking ?
Actually how long could be this process (our Office is in Singapore).

It depends on the validility of the original medical...So for instance if you did your original medical on January 1st 2010 and they called  about the TB after and sent your husban for furthering .....Then all should be okay..the thing is he was sent for furthering and he has to undergo what ever necessary treatments in order to clear up what was found ..The doctor DMP will forward his treatments to CIC singapore stating the treatments are done ....

But if it should happen your medical expires at all during the process then your husband will have to redo the medical over again

The process is alot more complex than that i presume from early on they start doing selection ...have you been asked to submitt original documents Once selction has passed then they move on to background checks ....followed by meds then ...they make a decision

With your specific Embassy they are processing applications between 5-14 months ...With the medical descrepancy it will delay your file ....but good news is as long as the original medical remains valid processing shouldnt delay much longer....But if it expired then you are looking at a delay

As far as i can see your file is in Process dont worry ..it will all work out ...what they are doing is making sure your husband is addmissable to canada and not a danger to the public health  ...Kepp strong and go with the process unfortuantlly there is nothing you can do but just roll with their punches
