for any enquiry with the immigration office, always use the second mail id ,  i.e., visas and immigrations. they will respond within 24 to 48 hrs.

regd doing a re-medical, on the vfs site, there is a list of consultants in india doing the tests for the visa purpose. if its so necessary, then go for another consultant and not for the same one.

as far as i know, the canadian embassy clearly states that there is no requirement of re-medical if u r re-applying for visa within a year of ur medical test done. newazs mail them now n c wat they reply.

good luck  Smiley

Hey david what is ur progress plz update

Hi,

I am going to redo the medicals tomorrow. Initially the hospital ppl didnt allow me to reake the medicals, but they contacted the embassy upon my request. They didnt tell me what embassy responded, instead gave me an appointment for tommorrow.

After that i will send back my passport and receipt to embassy most probably by tuesday.

Thanks.

Yes, DMP told me the same, but allowed afterwards. Either you can send a softcopy of the medicals you have already done, or go to some other state near to you and take medicals again from another DMP.. (like if you already did medicals from chennai applolo, then go to banglore (Fortis or Elbit) or Kerala (KIMS trivandrum, because they will provide you fresh medical result)

Please find the list on DMP's in India.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=1995&CountryName=India

I would suggest to redo medicals rather than sending the old one because, in the letter that embassy sent you, specifies your current File Number. And the medical receipt also will contain you current file number. It will be easy for the VO to check the latest one, rather than checking the old report.

Hope that helps. Thanks.
