Hey guys i got my passport back from sydney australia visa office on 14th of september 2010 after getting visa stamped on it.
In my case it took five and half months to get visa stamped after submitting full documents at sydney australia visa office.

When ever you send an email for enquiry, they always reply within 12 hours.

Brief idea of my timeline at Australia visa office is as follows:

AOR received after 4 weeks of sending full documents to visa office.
Status changed to "In process" after 5 weeks of receiving AOR.
Additional documents requested after 1 week of status changed to "In process" .
4 weeks were given to provide additional documents.
Medical request received after 10 days of additional document submission.
Passport request received after 5 weeks from medical submission.
Passport returned with visa stamped after 3 days from passport submission.

So guys All the Best for ur applications and hope you will get ur visa soon.

Congrats, I just hope that they maintain the consistency and other visa offices follow the pattern

Congrats Raj but there are always 2 sides to any story and well i certainly do not agree with the sentiment that sydney is the best. the Sydney office stuffed up the photos and details pasted on the medical forms and it took me 3 repeated emails at one email a week to get a response from the sydney office for their error. So they certainly did not respond within the 12 hr window.

End of the day , it is all a matter of luck or karma  Cheesy
