i've been a housewife myself for the past 2 years ever since my husband went to Canada as a foreign worker. Now that we are about to join him as permanent residents, I am looking into jobs that I can do and would fit in to my husband's work schedule so that there's always one parent at home and we won't need to spend money on child care.

Since I love to cook and bake and I think I am quite good at it, I will consider working as a baker (schedule is very early morning around 3am to 11am, just in time for when my little girl finishes her kindergarten class) or a part time administrative assistant since I have previous work experience in HR, payroll and administration. I also found a call center, Convergys - they accept applications from Canadian residents for a work at home call center agent. You just need to have a wired internet connection, a quiet place to work in and a dedicated phone line with mute and call waiting function. I bet there are other legitimate call centers that have workk at home schemes as well.

I hope the above helped somehow. Best of luck!

Good thread........
